This was definitely my favorite of the Disney Afternoon Block. It was so impressive how they built up this Crimson Skies-esque 1940s pulp aviation world. The Iron Vulture is also an iconic animated aircraft.
@@David315842 Now that I think about it I wonder if the lack of Bonkers also had to do with its connection to Who Framed Roger Rabbit, let alone Animaniacs taking a jab at it. I've never even seen Jim Cummings bring it up.
Disney is one of those studios that keeps everything. I'd be very surprised if they didn't have film prints of all the afternoon shows. Plus, as John Jacob Schmidt mentioned, some of them have started to appear on Disney+ in HD. Disney likes to future-proof their content. While they have used SD tape masters for previous releases, that doesn't mean they don't have film prints in the vault. Since we're starting to see some of the shows appearing in HD, I'd say it's very likely. What isn't likely is that we'll ever see those lovely HD versions on Blu-ray.
Only upset is the origin movie plunder & lightning is the cut four episode version cutting out scenes from the original film. Also upset the same with the darkwing duck dvd set.

It really is such a fun mish-mash of classic 40s adventure movie tropes, I love it!
I wish they would put all the disney afternoon cartoons on blu-ray.
It's weird how Bonkers never even got a DVD release.
@@David315842 Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers was in HD on Disney+ I think.

Don Karnage (probably spelled that wrong) is one of the best Disney villains. Love Talespin
Agreed, I'm glad they brought him back for the DuckTales reboot.
@@Benjamillion yeah he was such a badass.
I have the complete set of this beloved series very hard to get but after some waiting and searching i have it.
kicking myself for selling these sets in a move a year ago... had all these disney afternoon show sets
What The Heck Doesn't
Disney Bring Back Moloo?

Like if Disney did release the uncut version it should be letterbox or the film or a recreation so it can be played at movie theaters.
Hey man love your vids just wondering what happened to sni?
My second PC died, it was the one used to host the Zoom calls. So until that gets replaced, no SNI.
What was the name of the talespin episode that Disney refused to air a rerun of on TV? And is that episode even on one of the sets?
Just curious have you picked up the Tales of the Golden Monkey complete set and if so will you do a closer look
Nope, but if I do at some point I might do one.
Nice closer look video one of these days I might plan on getting Talespin on DVD at one point
XOXO 😘
