- During a virtual chat, Kelly Clarkson tells Julie Andrews that she was too nervous to introduce herself at "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" premiere years ago but was thrilled to (literally) brush up against her on the red carpet. Later, Julie and Kelly discuss how they've been holding up during the pandemic, and Julie explains how this uncertain time reminds her of what life was like in England during World War II.

Kelly's the sweetest! And her reaction to get to interview the incomparable Julie Andrews is pretty much how I'd react, I think! Stumbling over my words! Nervous energy for days! I love, too, how she's so humble when she says, "I sang this song called Breakaway." As if the whole planet isn't aware of how huge that song was and that she sang it, therefore needs it explained to them! Lol!
I absolutely love Julie Andrews sooo much, I've grown up with her my whole life, I've watched The Sound of Music, Princess Diaries, Shrek 2 and 3, Mary Poppins everything and I absolutely adore her ❤❤❤❤❤ how is Julie'd daughter not British? Like she doesn't have an accent, where's her accent

Julie Andrews is my all time favorite.She is so beautiful all the way around. My very most favorite song that I have ever heard her saying is edelweiss. Well on April 24 I turned 69 and my daughter went out and bought the sheet music to that song. My oldest grandson plays the clarinet and my youngest grandson plays the viola and on their own they learned how to play this and they played it for me on my birthday. It was the greatest gift from all three of them that I have ever received it was simply beautiful.❤️🙏👍👵

Dame Julie saying if it wasn't for the American defence forces during the second world war, the UK wouldn't be what it is today. My mother told me the same for my country . Thanks to the American and allied forces, we are what we are today as well. Some people talk about how America needs to stay out of other people's wars but the fact that it becomes involved in helping those who are and could be oppressed, is appreciated. I did a painting for a co-worker using words as hair because she loves words. I have been unable to give it to her because she is working from home. Every morning I text her a word of the day and she will text me back a picture that relates to the word. It has turned into a fun game and helped us stay connected during this time.
