I absolutely LOVE this interview! Great questions and Tom is always so generous with the answers and he looks really thrilled about going back into this character again.
I loved that his sexuality was acknowledged in the show and not only that but the way it was fit perfectly and added a lot of depth to his character development. Cus I know one of the biggest complaints was that it had “nothing to do with his character.” A complaint that reeks with a lack of emotional intelligence because it was brought up in a scene that was clearly about Loki’s inability to form serious attachments so it made perfect sense to reveal that he can have sexual attraction to anyone but it’s never been able to be taken farther than that. And that’s a theme that’s been running throughout the entire show. Again, it’s a concept that requires an amount of emotional intelligence that the homophobes clearly lack.
I'm an entertainment journalist and I've made some awesome connections with Disney publicists over the years! They invited me to interview Tom and I got to chat with him for a few minutes about his Disney+ show! So much fun!

We thought the genderfluid part was the big deal, it was a tiny blink and you miss it Easter egg written on screen, still good rep, but after today it seems so small. A VOCAL CONFIRMATION THAT HE IS BI!!! That is so amazing, and for anyone who somehow interpreted it differently, the director herself confirmed on Twitter that Loki is indeed bi and that she is so proud to introduce the mcu’s first openly lgbtq main character. Happy pride! 💖💜💙 💖🧡💛💚💙💜🏳️🌈
Don't chill out. Celebrate!! This is huge for us! 😭😁😁 But I should mention that the gender fluid thing is still pretty big to me. I'm enby and pan, so both these details made me the happiest person in the world 😁
Ooooh, so last year for gender conference I wrote about Shakespeare's character, Viola. I could give Loki a go next year. I already started working on putting a masculinity studies lens on Gregor Samsa from the Metamorphosis, but I can dream of writing about Loki and gender fluidity. I think the younger kids would really enjoy a Marvel character.
Tom Hiddleston is one of my favorite actors. He's so talented and seems like a really nice guy. I'm so glad they're adding Loki's queer identity from mythology into the MCU. Sure my parents get a little homophobic, which kinda sucks, but I see Loki and I get so happy :)
Yes even theologically Loki is fluid both in gender and sexuality. I was glad that the comics acknowledged that and I'm glad in the way the the MCU handled it by not making a big out of it.

The trickster is at the heart of Loki's character, and is what Hiddleston so skillfully brings to life.
so refreshing to hear an interviewer ask such great questions!! you earned yourself a subscriber!
i hope they take the cloking spell odin put on him off so we can see him as a frost giant. like full frost giant
Who let him be this nice. I love him so much.
Not me crying rn we do love hearing about that 😭 You're a fantastic inteeviewer
My heart is so happy listening to this interview after the latest episode
Tom Hiddleston is being played very well by Loki.
True! 😂
You did this so well. I loved your questions and also really like the elaborate and heartfelt way Tom answered
Fantastic interview! I'm so glad that I stumbled across it.
An entertaining interview! Good questions and answers all round, speaking to Tom must have been such an honour.
I'm so excited about this!!!!!!
One of the best interviews yet! Great questions!
Thank you!!
He is such a gentleman. My heart ♥️
Incredible that its been 10 years, and I'd love for it to go on. :D
dude honestly just discovered your channel and its become one of my favs ever, love the questions you ask and how it feels so warm when you talk to them. keep up the good work king!
I absolutely LOVE this interview! Great questions and Tom is always so generous with the answers and he looks really thrilled about going back into this character again.
This made me so happy.
I don't think i've ever seen such emotionless laughter in my life
I loved that his sexuality was acknowledged in the show and not only that but the way it was fit perfectly and added a lot of depth to his character development.
He is so polite🥺
My favorite character in the franchise.
Amazing content from Tom. Thanks for posing the exposition of his analysis. Very cool.
I love your interviews! You're always doing the most for the gays Raffy :')
hahah that's what I was meant to do! :) Thank you so much for the love and support!
Excellent interview. Keep up the great work Raffy!
Thank you so much! It really means a lot! :)
Gotta love Loki
And Tom:)
How did you get the opportunity and call for this?
I'm an entertainment journalist and I've made some awesome connections with Disney publicists over the years! They invited me to interview Tom and I got to chat with him for a few minutes about his Disney+ show! So much fun!
@@raffyermac Wow, that long!
@@raffyermac When I saw you in the thumbnail of this video, I thought you was the actor for Wong from the Doctor Strange movie
@@raffyermac you're so lucky 😩✨
Great interview! What I love about Tom, as an actor, is the amount of research he does personally into characters and their lives or jobs etc. That really shows when he brings them to life and is what makes him one of my favourite actors! He really puts everything into it! 👏
This is such a great interview! Tom is such a sweet and respectful person, and his answers to these questions are amazing. The questions themselves were really nice too, it's always nice to see something different
Damn, Tom is such a sweetheart
This is great! I really wanted some more diversity in the mcu, and here it comes - from my favourite actor! 🌈🌈
💖💜💙 💖🧡💛💚💙💜🏳️🌈
chill out
@@harrismo6424 Nope, to happy.
Don't chill out. Celebrate!! This is huge for us! 😭😁😁
But I should mention that the gender fluid thing is still pretty big to me. I'm enby and pan, so both these details made me the happiest person in the world 😁
“Your savior is here!”
I got soooo happy when Sylvie asked Loki if he has a princess or prince!
same
Great job Raffy, I have a feeling you drew some spoilery stuff from Tom here and look forward to seeing how the series plays out.
Wonderful interview! I love it, congratulations and thank you
Ooooh, so last year for gender conference I wrote about Shakespeare's character, Viola.
I could give Loki a go next year. I already started working on putting a masculinity studies lens on Gregor Samsa from the Metamorphosis, but I can dream of writing about Loki and gender fluidity. I think the younger kids would really enjoy a Marvel character.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this interview :)
BYE HIS LAUGH
I love Tom’s voice …his bass voice is nice 👍
Tom Hiddleston is one of my favorite actors. He's so talented and seems like a really nice guy. I'm so glad they're adding Loki's queer identity from mythology into the MCU. Sure my parents get a little homophobic, which kinda sucks, but I see Loki and I get so happy :)
Tan lindo mi tom lo amo
loved it!❤️
Stop I’m crying I love you Tom 🥰🥺
Yes even theologically Loki is fluid both in gender and sexuality. I was glad that the comics acknowledged that and I'm glad in the way the the MCU handled it by not making a big out of it.
this is Amazing!!!! Great work 💗
Thank you for supporting!!!
