He was literally conducting the band, the drummer Ronnie Tutt and the rhythm section the backing singers fed off his energy and made that huge sound to accompany Elvis' incredibly voice. What a huge talent, nobody has ever and will never come close. He was absolute perfection, stunning man head to toe and inside out. He was a naturally funny man too, the best ❤
Thats true! Ronnie Tutt, the drummer did say that playing for Elvis was like playing for a stripper, he and everyone in the band had to watch every move Elvis made with his body and with the flick of his finger, wave of his hand, and try to keep up with him and keep on beat. Elvis controlled his band with his body. Elvis stood in front of the drums so he could "feel" the music. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to the Elvis family. You will have a heavenly experience. He was the greatest ever seen on this planet. Left us a huge legacy. The 1968 comeback special has so much different sides of Elvis. The early years were on Black and white TV. Love that you are doing the research about the man.
Elvis was spontaneous never choreographed. He did two concerts a night. He never did the something twice. He wanted the shows to be fresh. This is the best version. I’ve watched other versions where he ad libs other things. Ex. When he gets down on his knee, in perfect tune he says “Hope this suit don’t tear apart, baby”. Another time he got down on “ never lied to you” ( no not much) After doing these songs over and over he become bored and he sort of lagged at himself. Anther great one is Patch it up. Too bad more of these Vegas performances were not taped because he was at his best. By 1973 he didn’t really move around as much but his music was mostly beautiful ballads in which his vocals were amazing. From the Aloha from Hawaii special you can see this. American Trilogy stands out as his best but that whole concert was spectacular. Keep doing Elvis, his fans are watching❤
WOW. Elvis moved to the music.. In the 80' and 90's everything stars did was just over choreographed.. Reacting to the music. Elvis was the beat and the groove..
No one could be like Elvis....Yes it's true about the band always had to watch Elvis because he would do things in his performances like change them up...Most of the time he was directed his band on stage or just change up his song's but they always right in tune with him...WoW.... So very sad n hurtful that he passed so young .A bundle of joy, love n compassion...God made no mistakes making this man n sending him to us...The Lord needed him back n Elvis was ready to be with him ...
Laudy Laudy . Elvis had it all...He could make u laugh n cry at the same time...Funny as heck..Yes! His guys always had to watch him because they never knew what he was about to do...His background singer's had to do it also. But it was all in fun.. Elvis was such a great soul n loving man...Souly missed.. Thank u..Love ur reaction looks like u appreciated him...
Elvis was and still is "The Greatest Entertainer of all Time!!" Our Love for him will never die!! Our Legend!!❤❤❤❤❤!! Ronnie Tutt once said, "Following Elvis is like following a marble on a warped floor!" Elvis conducted the band with his movements!!
As the reverend said , Elvis was a "bundle of energy , set to music" ... he enjoyed his fellow musicians on stage and it showed in his performances . The smile on your face says it all ... his greatness will live forever ! TCB Elvis !
He was like that from a kid, he couldn't stop his energy. Glad you enjoyed it. Nice to see younger generations appreciating the music from decades ago. 👍👍👏👏👏
He feels/hits every beat with movement. Watch his band members they have their eyes on him at all times to keep up with him when he cuts loose. Just when you think he is done he kicks it back up.
Yes, Ronnie Tutt the drummer did make the comment about the stripper. But a lot of the movements you see from Elvis on stage besides the karate stuff was his signaling to the band what he wanted done. He was actually orchestrating to them, especially to Ronnie. They had a great relationship. But he had that with Glen Harden on the piano, his lead guitarist James Burton and James Wilkerson and Jerry Scheff. He also knew that Myrna Smith of the Sweet Inspirations was easily startled so he did that to her on stage as a prank. They ALL knew to watch him closely because they never knew what he might do suddenly. Or what song he might suddenly launch into that wasn’t on the playlist. The man knew thousands of songs. Even Robert Plant and Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin spent several hours with him one night in his hotel suite and were stunned by his encyclopedic song knowledge but that’s another story…He enjoyed his musicians and they enjoyed him. I don’t know if you’ve seen his 1972 live performance (in his powder blue jump suit) of How Great Thou Art. Make sure you tie your shoes tight otherwise he will blow them off your feet. There is so much depth and variety to his catalog. He truly stands alone and I do believe that he is the GOAT. That’s not to say that there haven’t been other great singers but he truly owned any stage he walked out on and was a master of all genres.
@@TheFlugenflaum Totally. Every member of the TCB band and his back up singers were exceptional. They had to be…how else could they keep up with him. No matter what was on the play list you never knew what song he might decide to do spontaneously.
One of my first memories was of the day he died. My dad’s friends was standing there with tears in their eyes. It was scary as a kid seeing these strong men be sad… His music played on though my childhood in to today here and now. It’s so fun to your eyes smile pure joy , great to see. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰:-)
Ahhhh I’ve just found you, loving your reactions. You have a brilliant journey coming up, cos once you discover Elvis, you cannot stop watching him. He is the best 💙 You have to check out If I Can Dream live 1968 (white suit), In the Ghetto (vegas 1970) and How Great Thou Art live 1977. And there’s so many more!! Enjoy, you have pure magic coming your way. No-one will ever top Elvis 💙
So glad I found another place to watch Elvis, and you! Sometimes I don’t know whether to watch Elvis or you, lol. It’s like seeing it all again for the first time thru your eyes. Thanks for reacting to Elvis!❤
Elvis was the DUDE! No one will ever top him. Enjoy watching your smiling face as you are watching. Great reaction. If you’ve started down the Elvis rabbit hole, it’s deep and wonderful. A great song is Just Pretend.
Don't know if you did Elvis's 'If I Can Dream,' but if not, that's a must hear! It's not a wild one like this one, but it's one of his best (if not his best) and will help you understand him better. That and 'In the Ghetto' are both very important Elvis songs! Keep up the great reviews!!
If I Can Dream was recorded multiple times for the TV special commonly known as the Comeback Special. There is the version he did in the black leather outfit and then two versions in the white suit... the best one is the final version in the white suit that made the cut.
Elvis he was the king of rock and no one will never be another king like him when i here him sing today u think he is still with us so sing with the Angles ur home know with ur king and ur love one 🙏🙏🙏🎖❤❤🙏🙏🙏
What other "rock" star would sing a Gospel song during every performance other than Elvis? He had his rock and roll, blues, country, rockabilly, love songs, soul but he also was never afraid to sing the gospel music that he loved.
When you watch if I can dream, watch it through to the end. He raises his arms and stands there a few seconds then he finishes the song. Go back to the early Elvis to really understand and learn about him. He went through some really bad times at the beginning.
Check out Elvis live performance of "American Trilogy". It's a virtual master class in how to exude power and emotion in a vocal performance. Simply stunning and unforgettable.
… Elvis was the first and the best! ... A millennial singer for the ages ... John Lennon put it best ... "Before Elvis there was nothing." 🕺🏻✨💎✨🕯 Thank you
The Elvis movie was great. Butler makes you forget he doesn’t even resemble Elvis… there are a few things that are incorrect, e.g. the movie implies E went into the military to improve his image. No, there was conscription and even though he could probably have been placed in the entertainment division (whatever it is called), he just went along, ended up in Germany (tanks). I saw the movie twice. Butler got the Golden Globe, and certainly deserves an Oscar.
The movie " Elvis" , starring Austin Butler, was fantastic! You will love it! I've been an Elvis fan since I was 12 years old. (I'm now 75). I am really enjoying watching the reactions of younger people who have heard of Elvis, but are now watching videos of him and are amazed by him, as I have been my whole life.
I hope you do “I Just Can’t Help Believing” where he brought lyrics on stage with him. Also, you need to go to his worldwide concert of 1.5 billion people watching a satellite performance from Hawaii. No one like Elvis ever!
And Joe Guercio the Conductor of the Joe Guercio Orchestra stated conducting for Elvis was like following marbles down the stairs. Elvis heard this and played a prank on Joe relating to marbles. Can't remember the exact details. Great reaction x
That's true about the drummer. Elvis had a challenge with the drummer. That's why he looks back at the drummer smiling. Elvis was funny. If I can dream is an amazing tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. Also duets with Elvis and Lisa Marie through technology are great.
I like how you do your homework before you dive into these artists and their music. You give some good info that even I didn't know in those days where there were so many great artists making great music. I was about 13yrs when Elvis started or about to start his last performance tour, my mom read he was coming to town and was going to get tickets, I begged to go with her but his tour was cancelled he died not long afterwards. I and the world was crushed.
Great reaction! Really enjoy your channel. Please react to Elvis Can't Stop Laughing and Can't Stop Loving You Live in 72. Elvis...A Generous Heart short version and Elvis..King of Kindness. Thank u TCB ⚡
If you haven't watched Elvis Sing "How Great thou Art" from from 1972 or 73 ! He puts his heart and soul in his songs ! He has 3 Grammy for Gospel songs
💕💕💕💕 Elvis...the ultimate performer. BB King said it best in the "Elvis and the Black Community" video .. His words were something to the effect .. "It didn't matter what Elvis sang.. he had it all...he was tall, handsome ...and to me it wasn't a mistake that he was called "The King". Great reaction! Thank you!
The man was old enough to be my father but I’d have climbed that like a tree. 🥵 And he just had us gawking at him the whole length of a song that repeated the same line over and over. And we loved it.
That what's great You should check out Lisa Marie Presley songs aside from being stunningly beautiful she also had a deep and she had a growl. She did a mash-up with him on the song. Don't cry Daddy it'll bring tears to your eyes it was so good😊 love your shirt I also anime texan from corpus Christi
Elvis is so amazing!! React to American Trilogy- he has an incredible vocal range. Also react to Jailhouse Rock from the movie in the 50's to really appreciate his early dance moves- magnificent
"Suspicious Minds" was his craziest song. I saw him perform it in 1972 at MSG. I've seen a lot lot of singers, plays and performances in my life raised in NYC. He was the greatest. I forgot most of them. Him, you never forget. He was terrific and made you feel like you were part of the show, not just watching. A friend. A real sweetheart.
Elvis was one of a kind, an American performance icon and he loved to have fun on stage and loved his fans. youve got SO much more to see, make sure to cover both the 68 comeback special as well as the first of its kind worldwide satelite concert "Aloha Hawaii" both of these shows are full of great stuff. Also the white suit version of Elvis singing "If I can dream"
Elvis was a great person, free with gifts, sad part was he got shoved into making movies he didn't want, he wanted serious roles, as the two he managed to get. Flaming Arrow and Charro. There's an article about an event he was to sing at but they didn't want his back up singers cause they were black, he said they come or he goes, his singers came. True what the drummer said. Yes, If I Can Dream and In The Ghetto are a must see. Also one of the black backup singers with the shorter hair was Dianna Ross' mother. Yes you can either rent or buy the new Elvis move through UA-cam. I can't wait to see more of your Elvis' reactions. I'm definitely going to be subscribing right now.
For something a little bit different, please react to Steamroller Blues from the Aloha From Hawaii concert. That concert was the first ever concert broadcast via satellite worldwide with more than a billion viewers. There are two versions... one from the rehearsal concert and the other from the live concert. I prefer the live version.
The movie was not good. It was narrated by Tom Hanks,.who played the part of Elvis's Manager, Colonel Tom Parker. To my sisters and I, it seemed more like the story of Tom Parker. When the actor is performing as Elvis on stage, they put in scenes of the real Elvis at the real performance. That part was cool. Maybe why a lot of people thought the actor had Elvis's moves down perfectly. Lol
Someone recommended "I Can't Help Falling In Love" -- there are a few different versions. Here are some suggestions so you don't get a bad quality version: this is from Aloha from Hawaii 1973 ua-cam.com/video/U_vyyLeL4to/v-deo.html ; this is Vegas 1970 ua-cam.com/video/xdLlk7NYGAA/v-deo.html (don't stop when the gold curtain comes down - there's a little more behind the curtain); 1972 Hampton Roads, Virginia ua-cam.com/video/i8QHFWac1_Q/v-deo.html . If you see a version that says "Prop. of Turner" on the screen, don't bother w-that it is very bad quality. Thank you
You've never seen anything like that before because there's never been anything like that before. Although, having said that, I kinda have to take it back. There was one performer who did very similar things during a performance. It was the "Godfather of Soul" also known as "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business", the incomparable James Brown. He and Elvis were good friends and no doubt James Brown's performance style was a huge influence on some of Elvis' performances in Las Vegas. Unfortunately there is precious little footage of those live performances of James Brown when he was at his peak back in the 60s. The comparison is utterly undeniable as you can see for yourself in this freakin' awesome live performance from 1963. ua-cam.com/video/6-E0X2JxCs4/v-deo.html
I don't know if you have reacted to "Are You Lonesome Tonight" yet, but after you do, you need to check out the laughing version. It's hysterical! ua-cam.com/video/eaMN2Euo3Rk/v-deo.html

When Elvis first appeared on TV, back in the 1950's, he was controversial then.

I’ve gotta think Elvis would have been completely blown away by Angelina Jordan’s version.
Please watch him Live In Vegas doing "Love Me Tender" in 1970, I think, where he kisses over 30 women during this one song!!🎶🎸🎵

Great Elvis reaction, welcome to the Elvis family.
It would be fun if you did a reaction video of you watching the Elvis 2022 movie.
You should watch this song on Aloha from Hawaii. It’s so funny.
I remember my Dad buying my mom a ticket to see Elvis in concert with her girlfriend’s in West Palm Beach in 1977. He passed away 3 month’s later 😞
Neat stuff...
You might want to watch Elvis and the black community part one and part two

The comparison is utterly undeniable as you can see for yourself in this freakin' awesome live performance from 1963. ua-cam.com/video/6-E0X2JxCs4/v-deo.html

Same concert, you must watch him sing and kiss at the least 50 different women. Unbelievable!

Elvis era diferente de tudo, não tinha isso de politicamente correto, igual essa chatice de hj em dia.
That lady was Whitney Houstons mother.
