I’m not the kind of person that actively goes looking for pumpkin spice things, but once when I was a broke grad student, I found pumpkin spice cheerios that basically cost nothing because they were out of season, and pumpkin spice never tasted soooo good;)
Those Cheerios are bomb! I wish they weren't so hard to find. But I suppose if they were more popular, they would be crazy expensive like everything else pumpkin spice.
I feel like you guys should expand upon that "year round domination" and do a series where Pumpkin Spice girl is secretly a super villain bent on taking over the world.
@@khalilahd. now why would I try something I detest when there is so much at KK that deserves to add to my muffin top? 🤣 If imma gain weight it better be worth it!
Yeah apple flavored things r so over locked during fall and I do like pumpkin flavored things but I would honestly pick apple flavored things during fall over pumpkin.
yeah, apple butter is amazing 🤩. My family makes a huge kettle of it outside over a fire so we get the smoky flavor. It's a tradition passed down a few generations ☺️
This made me think about Rona again - I wonder if she'll ever have another appearance. I'm thinking she could just be hanging out wherever they are just sleeping, snoring in a chair in the corner of the living room, back seat of the car, passed out with a wine bottle in her hand in a chair in the backyard, sitting on the floor in the kitchen scrolling through her phone, everyone just carrying on their chores and conversations just stepping over her, her mumbling that her other disease friends are doing stuff but no one's calling her anymore, that kind of thing. 😂 Of course, fading off into the distance with no video works too! 😜 Walking out the door, and down the street, to the song "All by myself, don't wanna be, all by myself...anymore!" 😜 After a montage of memories of the good old days (masks, the news, zoom calls, everyone at home, empty restaurants and stadiums and bars and classrooms). Or again, no video works too! 😸
OMG... Culture Clubs "I'll Tumble For Ya".... got me feeling all sorts of happy this morning... Thanks for the trip back to my high school years. Now to have my cup of plain ole coffee. Pumpkin is for pie. :)
We had a pumpkin spice hummus last year. It wasn't bad for the taste but the texture seemed odd with the taste. Also, pumpkin pie spice is available to keep at home, year round for anything, like oatmeal, cookies, rice crispy treats, etc. Anyone interested in a pumpkin dip: -12oz cream cheese (softened) -2c whipped cream -2c powder sugar -1 can pumpkin puree -1tsp pumpkin pie spice -1tsp ginger *it's possible I may've done 2 cans of puree. It's easy to play around with this recipe to make it how you like it tho.
Apple butter and apple cider are WAAAAY better and more fall flavored to me. I grew up making apple sauce every fall so the smell of hot apples cooking is amazing to me. ❤️
I know looks are of limited value, and the Holdernesses are soooo much more than that, but can we seriously acknowledge how really amazing BOTH Kim AND Penn (and the kids too and even Sunny!) - how amazingly and consistently Hollywood good looking these people are? I'm glad they have their own channel and content cuz with their looks, talent, and personalities, and the people they are, they deserve to be the stars of everything! Hollywood doesn't deserve them!
So I love this pumpkin part of punkin spice. If something is "pumpkin spice" but has little to no pumpkin I'm not a huge fan. My favorite seasonal pumpkin item is Andy's pumpkin pie concrete. Literal slice of pie blended into ice cream!
I got pumpkin spice hot chocolate, trust me on this one it is really good not much pumpkin it is still chocolatey. I want to be pumpkin spice's friend because I absolutely LOVE fall. I'm a pumpkin girl, but apple is great too!
Kim, you brought the talent here! Very funny. Pumpkin Spice is so pervasive that I actually fell for most your "fake" products, though the fabric softener was a giveaway. Right, that's not real? Gosh, hope the wine if fake, wine should taste like wine with just hints of flavors. Anyways, if Pumpkin Spice was a person I think she would be pretty much your portrayal. Hmm, next video, the Pumpkin Spice family at home. Your kids will scream when they hear of their new characters. Lol.
I'm not big on pumpkin spice things, but my kids love pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin chocolate chip muffins so I get a couple pumpkins each year and cook them so we can have those things year round. Also I like the pumpkin cream cheese at Aldi. Goes great on bagels.
I love pumpkin spice iced cappuccino from Tim Hortons, pumpkin spice coffee creamer, and I looooove making pumpkin pie from scratch. I buy a pumpkin every fall and make the purée for the filling, homemade crust, and homemade whipped cream( all because I looooove it that way 😋). It may be a lot of work, but it is so much tastier than the store bought. Plus, I roast the seeds. Yummmmy. I LOVE pumpkin spice! It's one of the things I really enjoy in the autumn.
Pumpkin spice kitty litter was a real thing one year. I remember seeing a pumpkin scented Tidy Cats litter bucket at Target a number of years back. Someone donated several of them to the animal hospital we take our pets to, they still use one of the buckets as a trash pail when cleaning up dog poo.
I love what you guys do! And if you ever do want pumpkin spice to dominate the whole year simply mix: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and cloves together! (Secret: pumpkin by itself really has almost zero flavor!) (And "allspice" is just a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves-hehehehe). Year round domination here we come!!!
No, allspice is it's own thing. It's the unripened dried berry from a tree native to areas of Mexico and Central America. You can buy them whole if you prefer to grind your own spices. It was given the name allspice by the English because to them it tasted like a mix of the spices you mentioned!
Actually, pumpkin spice refers to the spices in pumpkin pie, not the taste of the pumpkin itself. Having said that, I use the pumpkin spice mix in my coffee year round! And buy several containers in the fall just so I won't run out! Also, sweet potato pie is everything pumpkin pie wants to be and isn't. 😁
I’ve had this question forever!!!! I can’t stand the taste of pumpkin or pumpkin pie, so is “pumpkin spice” ALWAYS just the spices or are some things labeled pumpkin spice flavored with a pumpkin flavor also?
CARROTS! I once had to make pumpkin pies for a family dinner, but came up one can short on the pumpkin. I subbed about 1.5 cans of carrots, and the pies were delicious! Carrots save the day!
Great video! So funny! My favorite is pumpkin latte, but I also love pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin dessert squares with cream cheese cheese flavored frosting (like a cake bar), and pumpkin chocolate chip bread.
You embodied that character so well! It's like I've seen her lurking behind corners 😆 But seriously, Pumpkin Spice has become an influencer that some of us can't live with, can't live without; a social media and commercialized conformity that latches onto us and says "Oh, you are not going to take that apple!" I might be up for trying the hummus or even the laundry soap but I want it to be my choice. The problem is, I don't think she's seeing herself out 🎃
Pumpkin Spice is a uniquely AMERICAN thing. I lived in Thailand and pumpkin was an everyday item, but not spiced. Pumpkin in coconut milk as a dessert, any time of day, is heavenly. Then I came back from Asia and in March, they still had PS coffee at my local convenience store.
I have pumpkin spice clothing,, pretzels, tea, coffee, creamer, yogurt, air freshener, donuts, hand soap, moisturizer, candles, popcorn, oh wait - pudding? Need that 🎃
Honestly I love pumpkin spice lattes, especially the ones my local coffee shop makes and I do love coffee creamer that I buy towards the end of the season so it last a bit longer. Not sure if I would want it as a year round thing though.
The look on Kim's face when she tried that drink I am dying! 🤣. I have never liked anything pumpkin flavored it's just not for me but I am in love with anything apple flavored.
I do pumpkin spice coffee near the end of September and through October but that is it. I will add pumpkin, spices to my oatmeal as well and I make pumpkin cheesecake or bread in November. Some of the pumpkin products are a bit much for me. I did see apple cider yesterday but didn't buy any yet. Fun video!
Oh, yes. Apples trump pumpkin for fall! This is a Michigan girl talking! I love pumpkin (although mostly savory stuff, like soup, or baked goods- almost NEVER drinks). But apples can do anything and should.
I agree. There are some really good things that pumpkin is in like a lattee, some cereals, and pumpkin pie. But when you come out with pumpkin hummus, pumpkin kitty litter and pumpkin ranch, I have to say that is taking it a bit too far. Also, I like the point you made that apples, and other fruit and vegetables should also get to be the star of a dish every once in awhile. I wonder what apple butter tastes like. Now you also have me wondering what pumpkin butter would be like. 🤨
The best soup I’ve ever had was a pumpkin nut soup on a cruise. I have tried to find a recipe that good, but to this day have never found it. A close second is pumpkin bread. I love pumpkin bread waaaaay more than pumpkin spice lattes.
I’m not the kind of person that actively goes looking for pumpkin spice things, but once when I was a broke grad student, I found pumpkin spice cheerios that basically cost nothing because they were out of season, and pumpkin spice never tasted soooo good;)
I got those for my kids when they were babies for the same reason. Tasted like savings and being able to make the mortgage payment to me.
Those Cheerios are bomb! I wish they weren't so hard to find. But I suppose if they were more popular, they would be crazy expensive like everything else pumpkin spice.
Cherrios were okay, the Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes were better! 🐯🎃
That sounds amazing 😂

I love pumpkin spice season. I will buy just about anything during this time of year. Pumpkin Spice!
I have never been a fan of pumpkin spice anything, so thank you for challenging the cult of personality here.
To be fair, have you tried the pumpkin spice donut at krispy cream?
It's my most unpopular opinion that pumpkin spice is nasty.

The Autumn Spice Milkshake at Chick-fil-A is amazing. Honestly the second thing I have tried that was “pumpkin spice”. The Oreos aren’t bad.
