Thanks so much for watching. He handled it like a champ. You can't tell, but our niece also got stung pretty good too. We have a lot more videos (we're backlogged) so stay tuned for more to come.
I really miss you guys. My name is Alex aka Aj and yall met me on cabbage beach at the 7:40 mark in this video.. if you ever come back please hit me up so i can have everything prepared for u guys. Love yall mann👌👌
AJ!!!!! You were an awesome host. Thank you for treating us so well on your beautiful island. Make sure you’re part of our Facebook community so we can let you know next time we’ll be back.
I don't think I blame Cabbage Beach for the sea lice. After much research, it seems to be a common problem in the Bahamas in late spring and early summer. The beach was nice, but a little rough and there were vendors everywhere. Other than the sea lice, it really was a great day. Everything is negotiable in price from chairs to jet skis to drinks. Thanks for the comment! -Brian
@@HowWeCruise we have the same problem here at the beaches by us. It’s very hard to convince the kids we are having a beach day anywhere! We’ve had many jellyfish encounters. You guys have us beat on remedies though! 😂
In September 2012, I had a massive allergic attack to jellyfish eggs from swimming at Cabbage Beach. It took three steroid packs to get over it. It also took 10 years to book a cruise to Nassau. I refused to go. We embarked Oasis on July 22nd. We just went to the straw market in Nassau. I refuse to ever go back to Cabbage Beach. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the comment. We, for sure, wont be going back in any ocean with sea lice/baby jelly fish! If ya know - ya know! Lesson learned. But we did love Nassau - and Cabbage Beach. Just not during jelly fish season! Thanks so much for watching - and for your comment! Glad we aren't alone!
Absolutely. We were told they are most prevalent in late spring / early summer. We’ve been to Nassau before and they were never this bad. Hoping this was just an unfortunate fluke. -Brian
Very interesting we have never arrived to a port that late in the day. It is going to be interesting to see what happens. That was a really cool shell. Yeah it is June is breeding season for Jellyfish, He is so cute and she reminds me of our youngest daughter, 💌Do you have a video showing how the room accommodates 5 people? What a perfect couples hideaway on that little balcony!! Glow-in-the-dark golf, sounds like a lot of fun! Great video!
Hey! Thanks for watching all the way through! The 5 person room was definitely tight. We’ll be talking about it on our live tonight. Stop in and join us! -Brian
Thanks for the video and tips. I'll be there at the end of the month, March, and I was reading that the waters have horrible riptide. Some of my family coming can't swim, and with no luce jackets or life guards at that beach, did you find the water troublesome? Also, is it safe around there? I'm not trying to get robbed or hurt. 🙄😊
The water was relatively calm, but you could feel the current. As for safety, Nassau is a heavy tourist area, especially when multiple ships are in port. The sketchy areas are mostly outside the typical tourist areas and are more dangerous after dark. Use common sense as you would in any port. Stick to populated areas. Keep valuables close or leave them on the ship and don’t leave bags unattended. Do your research and have an idea of your plan and you will be completely safe. Feel free to reach out on our other socials if you have specific questions. Have a great cruise!
Hi Jeanne. Great question. Its a great question because there is no easy answer. Negotiate! The beach had quite a few people when we went, so I think we paid a little more than we normally would. We wanted 6 chairs for our party, but we ended up cutting it down to 5. After we agreed on a price, he tried to charge us extra for an umbrella. We held our ground, got the umbrella, and even got him to throw in the first round of drinks. Overall at the end of the day, I think we spent a little over $100 for chairs, umbrella, and drinks for 4 adults and 5 kids.

Great video! Cabbage beach is off my list of beaches to check out! 😳 it’s a shame because the beach and water looked beautiful.

Is the public balcony on deck 10 as well
The small balconies overlooking Central Park are on deck 9.
We went to Nassau back on April and those little jelly fish are very annoying!!

You do what you gotta do! When your in the situation and there aren’t any other options 🤷🏼♀️
The water is beautiful there. Except for the sea lice.😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
Ammonia works great for this, so urine (yes, urine) is extremely effective. I lived on the ocean and when were kids we would pee.
It was a desperate moment. Lol. But truth! It works!
Granddad running the show!!!!!
Sometimes we let him think he’s in charge. 😂
