Turns any jack into a jack stand. But not these two.
What would be good is for when the only good spot is where you put the jack. I'm doing the the torque box in my camaro right now and picking it at the rear spring shackle and the jack rod would be sweet.
Yes! First thought is with someone being underneath the car with that thing, but when you think about it, there could be many situations where it’s useful as a tool!
It's cool, some vehicles put the jacking points just behind the strong part of the sill. You jack it up and you've got no choice but to use a weak part if you need your jack for the other side.
Hello again ABD
Thank you for another Great Video. The Jack Rod, sounds like a Great idea. I would be more likely to but one if more of the safety information is on the package. Again thank you
Yeah, thanks for the input! Happy new year!🎉🍾
Really really close to fitting. I like the name though 😂. Thanks for the video ABD!! 🍻🤜🤛
Haha! Yeah! I could go crazy with the name, but I’m not gonna go there! 😂🍻🍻
It almost fits. Just trim it a bit.
JackRod should work on the Daytona, you put it on the close mode and extend it after
I don’t remember on this video but now I have an orange pits jack and it fits fine…
Happy New Year everyone. I would just trim the those ears a smidge.
Happy new year! Yeah, believe me, I was tempted to do that! 😂
Jack rod is more expnesive then jack stands
Hope you had a wonderful New Year and it goes great for you But I'm afraid No thank you I haven't heard anything good about yet other jacks talk to if you're doing a durability It would have been great to hear but no thank you👍🏻🍻🍺😊🎉
KONAMAN!!🍻🍻 Happy new year!🎉 thanks for the input!
Great idea, but it makes me want to cut up metal pipe in different lengths and notch out the ends to hold it in place.Take it out by raising the jack 1/4 ". All those holes in that make me nervous.
Why didn’t you just adjust the jack rod?
From what I remember the jack was too narrow for it to perch safely
The price of the Jack rod is ridiculous. If the price was $39.95 or 79.95, this item might be worth considering.
I like the idea.
Who, that doesn't have a floor jack doesn't also have a minimum one set of Jack stands?
Literally tire shop down Monterey Highway in San Jose California. You can see every car jacked up with four jacks right from the street with no wheels on. I see it all the time! Lol
I don't see the issue here.Work the jack rod according to the manufacturers directions and it will work just fine. The Jack is going to rest on the highest jack rod hole no matter what.
Definitely not needed if you don’t see a use for it. Someone may have a job sitting out on a lot for a while and they don’t want the transmission to move with the engine out so they put it on an old jack with a Jackrod
@@AutobahnDan oh I see a HUGE use for the Jack rod. Thanks for reviewing it. I would have never know about it if you hadn't shown it.
What I was saying is there are other UA-camrs that are showing the jack rod working with these small jacks.
All you had to do was adjust the Jack pod ……
dont be cheap buy a set of good jack stands mine are the best made and cost less than this garbage that will fail this is how you can tell the pros who do this every day and people like you
The jackstands at the shop I work at are collecting dust and never used. We have lifts. There are times that a jack is needed underneath a transmission while doing an engine job and you don’t want the jack to sag after a tired long day of removing an engine and you just wanna go home and have the jack at the same spot it was the next day.
@@AutobahnDan That's a fair point for that situation, but I would be very concerned some consumers would consider this a safe alternative to a jack stand, even though this doesn't prevent lateral movement like a jack stand would.
