We got a home from Clayton in 2017. Our biggest regret ever.. Maybe everyone has a different experience, but we'll owe on this home for many years and it's fell apart. Both bath tubs dry rotted. So cheap. Pipes leaked in the wall. Dented stove and dishwasher.. dented in wall boards. Our wall boards didn't touch the ceiling in living room and dining room. They came out and stuffed it with caulking.. Our home was also built out of square. Like imagine your wall coming out 6 or 8 inches wider on the bottom than on the top.. the repair men said there is no fixing.. INSURANCE OR THE NEW HOME OWNERS FAULTY OR WHATEVER YOU CALL IT.. it will not cover it!!! THEY SAID IN ORDER FOR IT TO COVER IT, IT HAS TO BE UNLIVABLE!!! SERIOUSLY.. WHAT QUALIFIES FOR THAT?? MY HOUSE IS FULL OF MOLD BECAUSE EVERYTHING LEAKED.. NOT TRYING TO TURN ANYONE AWAY.. BUT THEY RUINED OUR DREAM.. WE NOW OWE ON A MESS.. ITS QUITE DEPRESSING.. WE ARE NOW TRYING TO AFFORD REPAIRING OUR HOME WHILE SUPPORTING OUR HANDFUL OF CHILDREN IN THIS ECONOMY.. Good luck..

Hi, as far as unliveable the mold alone qualifies for that. If anyone gets sick from the mold you should have a suit against the manufacturer. My daughter and her family lived in a house that was full of mold. My granddaughters the oldest had to use an inhaler I can't think right now of the name of the breathing machine with meds in it. The youngest also on the same machine and inhalers. She got so sick the ambulance had to be called in to take her to the hospital. Mama and daddy was sick with allergies. They had to keep the rid bags hanging all over the house to try and get moisture out of the house. The owner tried to say they didn't know they had been sick from mold. Ah yeah you did while they were moving out she wanted to go in the house to see if there was any damage to the house I told her the house is damaged not from something they caused though. I was standing there and told her she couldn't go in the house until they got what they needed out. She wanted to know who I was and I said I'm grandma that's all she needed to know. I wouldn't let them load the bed mattresses in the moving truck. If it couldn't be washed they didn't take it with them. Her couch and chairs was set out on the street along with their beds for the city truck to come by and pick every thing up . I told her if I drive bye here and see that it was rented again before it had been aradicated from the mold I was going to report her. She said they old that months rent and I told her they would owe it from now own. 😏 All my kids are better now and have not needed the inhalers anymore. That house sits on the lowest lot of an older neighborhood. All the rain waster runs to that lot and my son in law has pictures of it flooding through the bricks under the house. There's a run off beside the house that it flows in and the water is always running in it.

I have all of this very nice 2 bedroom apartment huge walk-in shower. Would fit 4 people. Small kitchen but a nice walk in closet. Big living room. Lots of closet cabinets with shelves. I’m happy with our price

Purchasing one of these homes is the same as throwing money down the drain. They don't increase in value and they will eventually fall apart. Don't buy a home because you're impressed with the cosmetics.

We bought Clayton home about 20yrs ago. It was a modular. It was crap. I really do not advise getting one. They fell apart, carpets had to be replaced, with a yr or two. What wasn't the cheapest material they could find was trailer stuff. They sold it as a house, but it has so much trailer stuff in it, that just went to pieces. We did sale it after about 5 yrs. It was a money pit. The guy who owned the lot, was telling me later how great they were. I asked this one question. If these modulars are so great and better than stick built as you claim, then why do you not live in one? I yet to meet the Saler or builder of these homes live in one.

We bought our retirement home This year, Clayton told us we HAD to use there General Contractor, when he came out he under bid the job. Which caused all kids of trouble, he bid 28,000 , when that was not enough we offered to go back to our lender and get them another 15,000, we were very clear on what we wanted. David Morrow the GC under estimated the size of septic we needed. Which caused us to have 3 sprinkler heads instead of 2, which one head is 15 feet from my back porch. When the septic was put in they torn my yard completly up in an area that didn't even pertain to the septic. They didn't clear trees for the spray heads, so the water just keeps flooding the yard. We have a muddy mess in our back yard and all they do is say its not there problem. That they don't have to fix the yard. They also wont give me reciepts as to where my $40,000 in construction cost went. Sonny the GM said they don't have to give me anything. They showed me some reciepts, but while I was trying to look at them the General Contractor was busy raising his voice about how I didn't like him, so I could not concentrate. Clayton Homes has no ethics, they don't care they took money from a 70 year old Veteran for his life long earned retirement home. They charged me $6000.00 for tree removal but then told me that didn't include clearing trees for the septic. That they didn't have that in the bid....Well I don't feel that is my problem that they didn't bid the job right when we discussed removing trees so the property could dry, after the septic sprays.
Beautiful floors get a rug you can take out and clean. Dont like wall to wall rugs

The Brick on the Outside would Look Better in a Darker Grey.👍The Home was Grey. The Inside was Grey, so it would've Looked Much Better if the Flooring as well as ALL the Rest the Wood was a Mixed-Grey. Needed All of the Room's to have Ceiling-Fan's. Remove ALL Furniture, so as People can Imagine What They would Do with the Space.

It looks nice and I guess that's where they get you. I have read so many complaints about the poor workmanship in these particular homes. CLAYTON is NOT a reputable home builder. Glad I never bought one of these nightmares.

I’m pretty sure that you filmed this in Rock Hill, South Carolina, off of Anderson road, because I recognized the home and the buildings and surroundings outside of it. I looked at this exact home a month ago. Very nice but too overpriced. $195K to $205K would be a realistic price.

Nice home, too expensive. Just hope it's not made like my Clayton home which is an ABSOLUTE disaster. I've had so many problems and major ones in a 4 yr old home. Be very, VERY careful of a Clayton home.

@@GQrealestate Hi, where do I start. 1st, the stove had been used it had grease all over the oven. The siding fell off only one door(inside and outer doors) are good. They either stick, don't fit flush are not sealed properly and are drafty, or the door frame isn't level. My gutters leak. The plumbing is all messed up the water heater leaked, the shower washer was in sideways so had a leak. The paneling is inferior, you can't clean it without ruining the finish. The HVAC was miss matched and not big enough for the home. The local dealer did not register the home or appliances as they said they would. The A/C was $4500 alone. The only good things in this house are the floorplan and the windows. There were a lot of other problems that I associate with the dealer or the contractor who set up the house. This home was supposed to last me the rest of my life without any problems. Well it's not, it has cost me a fortune in the first 4 years. I can only expect to have more issues in the future. This is a 3B/3b home 1300sqft as I am single. Not an expensive, fancy home. But it already looks very used. Beware of recommending Clayton unless it is on a really high end home. Thank you for requesting my opinion.

You guys made me laugh! I have seen this home toured by several people. I like it from the perspective of someone shopping for a home. Some of yor comments were ones that I have thought too. Remember with all of these you can have them built your way. For example many people comment on these tourvideos that the do NOT want carpet anywhere in the home. You guus like carpet. Shiplap (the wood on the walls) is something you didn't like and a lot do. So, they can have theirs built with the shiplap but no carpet and yours can be done with carpet but no Shiplap. The kitchen cupboards not going to the ceiling is another of those things. For you they shoild extend up all the way. While someone else may say no, I want to be able to put plants or something up there, ( my cupbords don't and I have coffee. Waffle iron, etc up there. Just things that I don't use often but want to hang on to for when I have the need for them. I ALSO have a VERY large amd I'm sure quiye impressive collection of DUST up there Lol! On to the next house! I havemt looked to see how many of these there are but I did see there were a few. I hope they are all just as much fun as this one was. I DO love this house. You missed the .aster closet and if I remember right it's pretty amazing.

Typical cheap Clayton home with not enough heating/ac vents for starters. They cut a lot of corners in this home if you know where to look. Clayton thrives on pitching and selling and fishing the layouts and all the bells & whistles and pretty in the home to all the suckers who take the bait
