We can debate this until whenever. Bottom line is this: Rams slam their heads together. They're designed that way. The human body is not designed to slam into another human body. If you use something against it's intended purpose, it's going to break.

Soccer is not nearly as dangerous as NFL you don't need to jam heads with your opponents at all in fact you can go an entire season without using your head once. Check the statistics. Using your head is not a requirement.

My wife is a nurse and I've worked in the ER for 6 years and have seen more injuries happen in soccer compared to football. "Dangerous" is a subjective term.

@@RaymonJordan2323 unlike Americans football, global football (soccer) is more open to change, no matter how dangerous they know their football is to players they will never change it, in football like I said jamming your head against your opponent or the ball is not a requirement you can use your chest, your shoulder, your back etc to challenge for the ball or pluck it out of the air. After doctor omalu revealed CTE many global football leagues thought up ways to avoid using head so much in the game especially in female football, and like someone noted the ball isn't as heavy or hard as it was in the 80's.
But in American football nothing was done.
Someone else has already pointed this out look at football legends even from the 60's, 70's and 80's how many of them had brain damage due to football? Infact how often do you see concussions in a football match? Very very rare, but in American football concussions are a normal part of the game the first time I watched it I saw a guy get knocked out cold and no cards was given, the commentators said he'll shake it off. In football if that happens the opponent will get a card. In American football they are purposely trying to knock each other out by ramming into each other infact they have guards whose job is to mow down the guy running with the ball.
So you can not compare Football to American football at all through out the African cup qualifiers not one player suffered concussion, through out this year's European Champions league not one player has suffered concussion that's how rare it is in football. But American football this year I can't count the concussions maybe I'll have to Google it

@@mitch1847 @Mitch184 @Mitch184 Americans don't know how to play the beautiful game, it's possible you have seen injuries in football but they can't be compared to the volume of injuries in Boxing, MMA and American Football.
Pele is still alive with no brain damage, mention one American football legend who is alive today that has no signs of brain damage? Just one.
Even current American football players the above average ones all have signs of brain damage, sometime ago two American football players went to rob a store deandre baker and dunbar these are guys who earned over 5,600,000 us dollars as sign-on bonus, they earned over 500,000usd as salary along with other benefits and bonuses, if the team ends above this you get paid extra, if you score this or defend this much you get paid extra etc etc along with personal endorsement deals also running into millions of dollars, robbing a store of around 10,000usd.
Over 50 american football players have killed someone, that number is close to zero in football and I want you to consider this there are more footballers than there are American football players yet suicides and homicides are more common amongst American football players than Footballers why? Coincidence? I say Brain damage.
A guy earning over 1million USD, living in a mansion, with whatever woman of his choice he wants, just decides to throw it all away for absolutely no reason when most of them are investigated after their crimes a common answer is "I don't know" there is a video on UA-cam of a football player who broke into a store took things and was leaving he just stood in the road confused didn't know where he was didn't know what he was doing such stories are non existent in the world of Football(soccer).
So why dangerous may be subjective, we all can agree, American football is more than dangerous whichever way you want to look at it than football(soccer) can ever be.
That is why Americans see it as a ladies game because it has no impact, it's not an impact sports, so it's not manly that's what they say that's why they prefer football and all those contact sports, I've spoken with lots of them they say they prefer seeing two men going at each other so we should not expect to see any major change or cancellation of American football any time soon.

Rugby is street's ahead as it conducts concussion tests allready. For the last 10 years players are taken of the field and tested for concussion when receiving a hard knock on the head.

Not ideal to equate football, soccer and other sports at the beginning. Yes, concussion can occur in all sports but football stands out as sub concussive blows to the head are the very essence of the sport - making it much more dangerous.

Ideally, the age should be older as young men's bodies and brains continue to develop until the mid 20s. But that doesn't make money, does it?
