That will make for a good Farm Truck we have one similar up at the family cabin in Gunnison Colorado. We use it for hauling water up to the family cabin. It works great 🌹
I had the same truck bought new in '79' with same color. Had 17.5 tires -400 engine and finished with 586,614 mile. Had put headers on it and flipped the air cleaner cover over for more air intake (hence more power). Had replaced oil pump three times and that was the only major work I did to it. Drove it for more than 20 years. Would probably still own it except the under side rusted so bad the shocks and leaf springs had rusted from the frame. It was a good truck!!!!!
1st year truck came out with extended cab. The paint lasts forever. Heavy duty and strong. Hauled RR ties with mine all 11 of them. Pulled lots of trailers.
My grandfather had a truck similar to this one and he had his camper on it that matched. Watching this video brought back memories of all of our camping trips. I don't think his had the ants though 🤣🤣🤣. Great video Robert 👍.
If my husband was still alive, I know he would drive all the way to Georgia from BC Canada for this gem....he would be drooling over it, anything without a computer is the only way to go...😊
Its a cool Ford truck. If I was in the States I'd be looking for it. But here in East of Europe, we never had them imported so I could never get one. I believe the other grill stile, the one with round headlights would fit better on it. If I was you, Robert, I'd keep it, but good luck woth the sale, I hope it gets to the right person.
My parent's friends had a '79 F250 4x4 extended cab. Looked exactly like that and same colors. They said it had a 390 but the 351 & 400 Cleveland were standard back then so I'm not sure unless someone did a swap. That was one neat truck. This kinda takes me back to those days.
the channel that used to be called Dutch Creek Cabin is a great contact. He works on his own vehicles and loves the old trucks. I think his channel is now called DrewsLens or something like that.
Nice old truck I love old trucks and cars. Hate your getting rid of it but I understand you can’t drive more than one vehicle at a time and you have a few to drive😂
It’s on Marketplace on Facebook right now, where you receive hundreds of questions 😅 I’ve got 3 people that are supposed to come look at it by the weekend. I’m selling it first come, first serve of course. If it doesn’t sell by this weekend I’ll throw it up on the eBay.
I was watching an old video and saw one of you cutting wisteria vines on the ground with long handled clippers. My first thought was you need a little kid that thinks those things are really cool, they would happily cut those vines all day! 🤷♀️😆😜

I have a ‘78 f350. Same exact truck. Still has the camper mounts on it, if I had a place to keep it, I’d buy in a heartbeat
Ken Horne actually Ford introduced the SuperCab pickup truck body style in 1974.
Presented like an honest car salesman!
Just an old car connoisseur- we tend to be far more honest than used car salesmen 😅
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG isn’t that the dang truth! 🤣 I honestly figured it’d be sold as soon as you posted it!
It's a beautiful old truck! Good luck selling it!
Thank you and I love it. But I guess I can’t keep ‘em all 😅
Hello and hope you have all the luck on your sale of the truck .Take care.

Awesome. I was wondering if Cody still has his old truck that he fixed up. I hope he does
Throw a bottle of Marvel mystery oil in it and see if that tick clears up !
Nice old truck I love old trucks and cars. Hate your getting rid of it but I understand you can’t drive more than one vehicle at a time and you have a few to drive😂
Robert you can always ask your friend Aaron, who is very handy, to make a nice wood piece for the the steering wheel.
It’s getting sold.
You need to do a auction
It’s on Marketplace on Facebook right now, where you receive hundreds of questions 😅

Hahaha right
Have you made a profit on the trucks/cars/other you have sold on this program?
pretty fair shape for a 79. Runs means a lot
For sure
Aloha! 🌺
Thanks!
I did enjoy it, thanks.
☺️Best wishes for a quick sale!🛻🛻🛻🛻🛻Keep on truckin'!
👍👍👍👍👍
👍
The truck was porbably used for recreation RV pulling, which is why the milage is low
Very probably.
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG The reason I say that is that we have a 2004 F150, with really low milage due to mainly pulling a boat the a travel trailer.
How much are you asking for your truck ?
$3000 firm.
Did you get it sold
Im interested in this truck, do you have any contact info?
Air bags ?
Not in ‘79 😅
It’s gorgeous!🍑
I love it.
I hope you don't get a snake bite. Your yard is really high.
Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn’t noticed.
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG I wasn't saying it to be a smart person. It just seems you would cut the yard before doing other things.
@@rodneywilcoxsr2223 check out yesterdays video, I talked about that.
