From the amount of penalty corners and shots England had at goal it’s actually really disappointing that they only scored once
Stellan11 what is ur problem ireland haven’t been in the World Cup for like 100 years it was an incredible achievement to the whole country to come 2nd and even to lose that final we were overjoyed the Dutch r professionals and have pitch’s to play on and the practice almost everyday and in the end of the day we won and did better than ur country and it was an incredible achievement

@@emilyjohnston9267 Dont let the facts get in the way. The olympics are the pinnacle of world hockey and GB women are the olympic champions. Beating the dutch, (who later went on to humiliate the irish 6-0 lol). For rugby the pinnacle is the world cup. And ireland have never got past the QUARTER FINALS of any world cup. Whereas englands men and women are former world cup winners. Need any more facts?
@@emilyjohnston9267 It wasn't an incredible achievement, it was incredible luck. The real hockey wc final was played in the semis. a superb match between the dutch and australia. For us fans to then have to watch a final so dreadful with the irish girls being totally humiliated, was a stain on world hockey.

Ireland green. That’s at least what i have seen from the several matches throughout years they’ve played.
The irish only played two decent teams this whole world cup and lost them both. Yet still ended up silver medalists LOL. The luckiest nation with the easiest of world cup draws ever??
Also the reason ireland made it to the final was coz they did much better scoring wise in their pool than Britain did
