These hand carved measuring cups are the project I canned at the last moment on day seven of the scrapwood challenge. I had quite a few requests to show it so here it is!
Because of the overwhelmingly positive feedback I received throughout the challenge, I've also decided to carry it on in a much more feasible way. I'm planning on making one episode a week alongside my regular videos. As long as I have scrapwood, good ideas and you guys are enjoying it I don't see why I couldn't carry it on for a while!
Let me know what you think and whether or not you think this could work!
As always I'm happy to answer any questions.

I can't let my wife see this video over my shoulder, she'll want a set of measuring cups like that...really stunning result. (It's scrap, it's crap, it's fire wood, but some of the wood IS GOOD!) Keep 'em coming!

Glad to hear there are to be more scrap wood videos. Well you do have a pile to hand. Didn’t see your dog this time but expect it’s still trying to figure out the puzzle. Once it does can we have a view of it earning the titbits. These spoons would be a handy addition to any kitchen, your own or as presents. Regards

I made a large chopping board sized jigsaw puzzle out of 19mm thick merbau decking offcuts. It was s good use of all the little bits left over. Made playing card holders for the kids as they couldn't hold that many cards up with their small hands. Made pinning trays for the locksport community.

I love it, Neil! Whenever I see your videos, there's always this great reminder of utilizing simplicity when the task calls for it. You have some incredibly complex builds, but then you have some things that you just keep simple because it is the best way. Like simply scribing what the measurement is on the handles of these cups. I like it!
