Prayer, fasting and the Eucharist!
Eternal Father I offer you the Most precious blood of thy Divine son in union with all the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my home and in my family. Amen. Releases 1000 souls from purgatory
But for the grace of God there go I. The rosary, the rosary, the rosary say the rosary and be consistent.
I agree father! I love the contemplative life. It gives me comfort that there are still priest, brothers and religious praying for the world
can i ask you if you also participate in the contemplative life?
Thank you, Friar Anthony for the time you take to give these talks. I learn so much from your efforts and hopefully I am on the way to becoming holier!
I don't know who this friar is, but I wish he were my confessor / spiritual director
I'm terrified for my soul because I realize I am one of those burdensome people to be around.
None of us are perfect, brother. I'd be more fearful for someone who thinks they have no faults.
Talk to a priest or spiritual adviser for help.
God bless.
Remember the infinite compassion of God to our human frailty. He is so patient with us, one needs to learn to be compassionate to ourselves and forgive ourselves for our past life. Hope in the Lord, His love for you is greater than any words, all He asks of us is to love Him. Through yourself into the arms of Our Blessed Mother, she will guide you to perfect union with Her son. I will pray for you, please have courage and hope..
You should never be displeased at the sight of your own imperfections, except with a displeasure humble, tranquil, and peaceful, not excited and angry, for this latter kind does more harm than good. St Francis de Sales
God never leaves us in our brokenness or difficult times.
God circles Himself around us.
When one stops recognizing the presence of God; we open ourselves to the possibility of loosing.
@johndunne678 you mean like Donald Trump who said he has never asked God for forgiveness because he has never done anything wrong. Yes he said this.
Good advice - just to practice them.
I could sit and listen to the Marian Friars Minor for a very long time. Thank you all who contributed.
Thanks!
So much truth. Thank you for these talks. I pray for all listening and the friars that we receive the graces to live a life of holiness that we just heard about
Gotta love these talks... This is the real deal. ❤💪❤
I want to hug this guy he sounds like he needs one 😇
Let Our Lady find us at our Hour of Death, whenever that is, In a State of Grace with Prayer, Fasting and Penance.

I really have to step up my spiritual game!!!
Amen amen spot-on God has a way of giving me a good poke between the eyes now and again God bless you
For me, death is gain. But for you, that I stay to enrich you is also Grace.

I have Iived in a Benedictine monastery for 11 years as a Brother monk after entering at 45 years old. Sr. Briege Mckenna inspired me to spend 3 hours a day in front of the tabernacle/Blessed Sacrament, which is a devotion I began as a novice. I credit this time with Jesus as the reason I have maintained the fervor of my conversion. It is the cornerstone of my spiritual life without which I am certain I would open myself to worldliness and other matters of spiritual poverty. By the way, I LOVE your channel.
Thank you, your videos are inspiring.
Some of this sounds like he's reading fron Christian Self Mastery by Fr Basil Maturin
Is that a good book?
Pray That I Will Live Peacefully With My Neighbors Practice The Golden Rule The Beatitudes Forgiveness Of Enemies That Blessings Will Come Upon My Property Belongings Life Health That I Will Pray The Rosary The Divine Mercy Poor Souls In Purgatory All My Priest Friends For The Pope
How do you mortify thoughts?
What book Is Father reading?! Please!
I'm not sure if the friar is reading from a book. It might just be notes for the conference. But if you are interested in books such as "On Perfection of Life", there is a link in the description box under the video for their website.
What does it mean to mortify the thoughts? 8:50
Reject the thought; put it to death; identify the thought as poison to your soul; pride, anger, lust, envy, gluttony, judgment, etc
Fill your mind with healthy images such as reading spiritual books, reading the bible, and meditation on the Mysteries of the Rosary, praying in front of a cross
Thank you James. I’ve put this into practice. I no longer indulge in thoughts that bring me low. It has helped me to lead a more dignified, disciplined and holy life. And also to identify habits of unnecessary thinking.
Thank you Malachi, my confessor once told me the same and I have replaced for the most part evening activities that are more edifying such as the ones you list.
I am now getting endless commercials on this channel that I am unable to skip. Ugh. Think I will pass.
At the risk of being rude, have you not heard of ‘prayer in action’? Praying is easy; but establishing a hospital is very difficult. Just my humble opinion, Friar.
That idea has been very popular for the last 70+ years. The fruit? I'm thankful there are still contemplative orders keeping the last vestiges of Christianity. Those of us "doing" things in the world depend on them.
This is so negative.
Yeah, Catholics, we not about trying to be positive. We can be. But that’s not a goal
how is it negative? I find it very practical and straightforward which is very positive in my book. God bless you!
Ignoring reality is stupid! It’s reality, not negativity! Jesus suffered-true or negative!
There’s nothing negative about truth and that’s what this is and what Catholicism is. Period.
@@bv5278 thank you Brian. You are correct. I am just so tired of hearing about negative stuff. We all need Jesus now and forever.
