- Following their defeat in the Haryana elections, the Congress party has approached the Election Commission, alleging that there were faulty Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in 13 constituencies. The party has asked the Commission to seal the faulty machines and has claimed that the Commission has assured it will look into the matter. The Congress party has submitted evidence for seven seats and claims to have evidence for 30 more. The party is facing backlash from its India bloc allies following the election loss.

It's a wake up call to the alliance India block to be more United, as the BJP is going down electorally, as we saw it's seats going down from 303 to 240 seats, not even a simple majority, after projecting Modi as PM this year!!
BJP got 243 seats in 2024 elections. Congress got 44, 54 and 99 in last three elections which is less than 200. Congress hasn’t received as many seats in three elections put together as BJP got this time.
Also interesting to note that Congress hasn’t received a simple majority in over 3 and half decades!
Another interesting fact is that 2024 was BJP third best performance, and it was Congress’ third worst performance ever.
