Even if you did not take the suppression of SA into account, Bowman as a GM accelerated the downfall of the Hawks dynasty (all the pieces were there when he stepped in, he inherited a winning roster).. he is responsible for trading Saad to Columbus for Anisomov, a 4th, and AHLers because his contract was going to be expensive; then he traded back for Saad in exchange for Panarin (who got similar money to Saad). That’s just the tip of the iceberg, Bowman sucks at managing assets

All the pieces ?? So why wasn’t Tallon riding out as GM through All those 3 Cups ??? Bowman just chilled and did nothing ?? So Jeff Jackson who has known Bowman since they were both assistant GM’s is a dummy ?? You know better as an “Outsider” I guess , right ?? I think I’ll go with JJ on this one since Draisaitl signing long term and then Connor is at stake !! Seravalli, Staples , both talk about what really happened in Chicago back then

I especially love how Jeff Jackson said they weren't really going to be talking to Draisaitl until after they got a new GM because he'd need to know the guy who's going to be signing him and running the team... and then hired Stan Bowman. In what gd universe is that a good plan????

Go listen to David Staples on Oilers Now yesterday and or Seravalli on UA-cam today, Bowman was a young, rookie GM , CEO and President John M said he would handle it and turned it over to HR who told the sexual predator either he resigns or is investigated? He resigned !! Ofcourse that CEO was never forced to Resign but he 3 , others under the bus, he is now long out of hockey !! Beach and Kennedy both endorsed Bowman for all the work he has done regarding this Horrible situation !! Did that CEO do any of that work ?? Ofcourse Not !! He stayed in hockey until he decided to leave…..

Absolutely ridiculous. Why would the Oilers with McDavid and all the media attention on him and the team bring in this negative distraction? So if the Oilers go back to the finals this weird energy dude will be part of the story. How about McDavid vs Bedard games? Two of the biggest stars and you'll be hearing about this clown formerly of (Bedard's) Blackhawks organization. This guy brings a bad voodoo vibe with him. I no longer believe in the Oilers to win the Cup with McDavid. Yes simply because of the creepy GM.

Since McDavid was drafted by the Oilers, this is the third GM that has a cup ring. The two previous ones didn't have the success that they wanted in Edmonton. Now bringing in Stan not only doesn't make a difference, but he brings baggage. This team is finally on the cusp of not only to bring the cup north of the border, let alone bringing Lord Stanley back to the city of Edmonton. This could be a dark time for the Edmonton Oilers as far as the Bowman is concerned while their window of winning is open for now.

Honestly this is baffling hire, during the Blackhawks tenure made some questionable trades, free agency and drafting: from teravainen trade to the seth jones trade (along with the extension), lets not even go to the kyle beach situation. Firing joel quenneville was a scapegoat for stan's incompetence. That panarin trade shouldve gotten stan fired. The 2021-22 blackhawks season was a trainwreck to the point of being forced into a rebuild, the Henri Jokiharju pick which was traded prior to the pick (pick ended up being Jake Oettinger). Kyle Davidson was given essentially a mess and trying to start from scratch. The first pick he ended up picking was Kevin Korchinski. The teams oldest by tenure is Connor Murphy from 2017. Look at the Chicago Blackhawks roster since Davidson took over sure some remnants from bowman (Lukas Reichel, Alex Vlasic, Philipp Kurashev and even seth jones despite being okay). Lastly Stan Bowman was awful gm after the 2015 stanley cup

I don’t think Bowman, Quenneville or anyone else thought Kyle was being assaulted. I think they knew but thought it was consensual and it may have been in the beginning. The whole story is weird. I don’t see a 6’3 athlete being overpowered by an older guy. I think maybe he was coerced, but willingly went with it. There’s no way the entire team was okay with a guy being sexually assaulted.
