I have to say that this film was very interesting. It was also very honest. They both had different needs. Communication is the key. They both explained what they needed. I think at the end the painting was both an apology and a statement of his willingness to make try it work. I think the ball was now on the other person's court. I think the other boy would have to give a little more for the relationship to work.

Been there, done that. I think a lot of people go through this, especially in their early relationships. Growth and wisdom can sometimes be painful.

A wonderfully beautiful film. It takes time for love to grow. To know true love between two individuals may happen once in a lifetime and it did for me thank God. Honest, true, love. But life changes, love changes. Its like a butterfly, hovers for a moment and then moves on. Hopefully I'll be blessed again with someone i truly love and not just speak the words, but mean them 🏳️‍🌈💜

Well done, well acted. Love the emotions.
About the story, what I love about it is that neither boy is wrong here. However, there is a danger when your relationship becomes everything about you, which is very easy to do. Louis said it himself, "I don't know how to function when he's not around." Jace said of his last relationship, "My entire identity became the relationship". I'm glad they were together at the end, and I hope they were able to keep their relationship healthy.

Love and Limerence can often walk hand in hand, it takes time and experience to ensure that love doesnt cross that line, and the open conversation they had was definitely a great first step... communication is always key.

I can't Believe I just found this short film today? I thought it was beautiful. This is the thing we all have to face at one time or another. Giving ourselves to someone and to be loved and accepted for who we really are. Some people never get to this point. I have been Blessed, to have loved and to be loved for who I really am. I am so far ahead of the game! Life sends us curve balls. My love died from a fatal heart attack three years ago, such is life? If it happens again, I am opon and willing, what is the other option? Life lived in fear and lonelyness.
Thank youy mate! Brilliant setting, gorgeous cinamatography. Good actors. Innocent and lovely, and truly profound work❤❤

Thank you for your frankness! I think you're a strong person. I've never been afraid of anything in my life. When I was young, I had a lot of relationships and I knew that they would not last long, after coming from the army I had a relationship that lasted only 2 years. At the age of 24, I met a man with whom I wanted to stay for life. He was 27 at the time. It turned out that he wanted the same thing. We have an anniversary on May 1, we have been together for 30 years. I do not know English, I use self-translation. I'm sorry for the mistakes. I want to share my story only with you. With love from Russia.

Unrequited love is a tough thing, but with time and understanding remarkable things can happen.

This is not unrequited love. The narcissistic needs of the character will never be met in any relationship. The script makes it clear this was an extended one nigh stand. The character is out of sorts when the clip begins. He needs the guy to figure out what will make him happy. We discover the only way he will be happy is in a symbiotic bonding so the two become one person. The character is angry it seems this is a dominant mood.He is edgy, he needs all and every bit of the guy so that he is/becomes the other. Any crack in the bonding for the character is rejection. He demands that quality in every relationship. His feeling of emptiness, needing the other to fill that space exactly the way he needs: can;t be done.

This was such an excellent film! One of the actors looks so much like someone who came into my life several years ago. He made me feel so wanted and loved, at least for a few months. Then he slowly faded without giving me any reason. There's something so beautiful about telling someone you love them. But there is something so scary about speaking those words. It seems like time stands still as you wait for words spoken back. I've learned to go slow, be patient and really listen to someone before telling him how I feel about him.

The problem is, gay men seem to always have a girl for a friend, and they always think they should advise them on their love life. Even though the girl friend is single. The moral of the story is: ignore the advice of girls with no, or bad relationships...they will screw the gay men's up every time.

WOW in a short time such a message is passed, magnificent short film! But I also know from experience that love between two men has to be born and grow naturally!

Zero chemistry between Lou and Jace; to me, this was a big problem with an otherwise very fine film. Very realistic in theme and dating situations! We've all been there.

The narcissism is perfect acted, exquisitely so. one feels the intensity and the loneliness in the lack of mirroring.

We're not always alone. The companionship of a friend, coworker, etc fills the need we all have for connection. In a relationship, its only half-way if only one is making the effort. The point of being partnered is two halves becoming whole. I learned this many years ago. Sadly, I've lost trust in dating relationships because the other halves wanted others as well and were not all in for the relationship.

Aos 72yo eu não mais tenho essas aspirações. Nunca tive um relacionamento duradouro. Sinto-me bem sozinho. SOLICITUDE. Lindos esses meninos. Mas imagino-os daqui a 20anos. Carecas, barrigudos... Seria suportável? Até que ponto valeriam os sacrifícios, as renuncias... De qualquer maneira, inegavelmente, as relações humanas são complicadas :)

That's just another another cringe narrative used to discriminate within the LGBT community but go off.
There are very feminine bottoms and the stereotypes are not cool in any way shape or form but discrimination for a community that preaches equality is so beyond hypocritical behavior!

Stephen Dennis: So, you can be gay but still traffic in lame stereotypes? Top or bottom is no more meaningful than man or woman--except maybe in a juvenile mind.

@@tcarney57 I totally agree with you. I have a Juvenile mind. And stereotypes are funny. (Which was the point of my comment.) Especially when applying them to fictional characters in the context of a movie. I think farts are funny too. 😜

GLENN HERE, 80 SOON, WITH MY GUY SINCE 1967 LOVE BEATS IT ALL. I THINK WE LOVE BEING ] LIKE 😊😊ALWAYS, BUT THIS GUY, UPTIGHT, TOO SADLY FOCUSED ON HIMSELF; I was pretty spoiled sexually and believe i found out about how to love when. I really had to. I felt a resonance with these guys, but their discomfort was more than I THINK IS NORMAL, NATURAL, AND I DID NOT BUY IINTO THE EMOTIONAL
I WANTED THEM TO BE MORE PHYSICAL.
