Retire Like A Millionaire - WAKE UP! Don't Rely On Your Pension - Robert Kiyosaki [Millennial Money]

  • If you think you can retire through a pension plan you’ve got your head in the sand.
This is why you should rely on yourself and not the government...
Most Americans are now concerned that company pension plans and Social Security will not adequately provide for them in their retirement years. Their concerns are warranted.
According to an article on Barrons.com, “Social Security benefits will start to exceed the program’s costs in 2020, and the program will deplete its $2.9 trillion reserve fund in 2035.
The reserves will run out a little later than the trustees of Social Security and Medicare predicted last year, but the bottom line is still the same. The program’s deficits appear vast, making it clear that the public should expect smaller benefits, higher taxes, or both.”
Over the last 40 years, Congress has approved increasingly beneficial retirement options designed to encourage Americans to save on their own for their golden years. While no Congressman will dare utter the fact that with mind-numbing trillions and trillions of unfunded obligations, Social Security and Medicare are now regarded by many as Ponzi schemes that can never be fixed, Congress has covered itself with retirement legislation. So that twenty years or so from now when the government system inevitably breaks, Congress, the institution, will be able to shake its finger at the American people and point to the IRAs, 401(k)s, Roth IRAs and the like they have created. And the message will be that the benevolent Congress gave the masses a way to save for their own retirement years ago. What will not be addressed is why the government continued to take 15.3% in payroll taxes from workers and businesses for a failed system. But that’s an issue between you and the ballot box.
The point is that to provide for your own retirement, it is prudent, as it is in all facets of life, to rely on yourself and not on the government.
When it comes to planning for the future, some real estate investors use their real estate portfolio to provide for retirement.

We have to position ourselves to create financial freedom by having various streams of income coming in and making wise investments such as real estate and stock market investing.
There are also many online businesses you can invest in and position yourself for wealth.
The biggest problem I see with most people when it comes to creating an online business is they don`t have a good marketing strategy to build their businesses and reach their potential customers and that is why I had to develop my marketing skills in order to be able to create a very nice stream of income in any type of business that I decided to get involved with and that is a very powerful position to be in!
If you would like to learn some diverse marketing skills to start and build your business, come visit my channel, subscribe and hit the notification button and I will share some very effective strategies with you.

Planning retirement has never been this confusing! First SVB, then Signature bank and now First republic, these are all the signs of yet another 2008 market crash and recession 2.0, so my question is do I still save in the United States dollar, or could this be a good time to buy stocks? So I’m left wondering what 2023 has in store for us investors, I’ve been sitting on over $745K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here,

Everyone needs a different stream of income , unfortunately having a job doesn't mean security due to the high rate of tax , one needs to move ahead their expectation, I would recommend refraining from investing in stocks for now. Instead, it would be prudent to consider retaining a portion of your assets in gold. Alternatively, seeking advice from a financial advisor could provide valuable guidance in this matter.

I'm a Millenial and I'm also from Puerto Rico. Let me tell you the market here is all over the place and people are even more dependent on the government. No body wants to work and the jobs are not secure. I try to teach people about Mr. Kiyosaki philosophy (that I really got into it while on active duty service, now retired) and they just ignore me. I've learn to laugh it out. As of today I'm 25 and investing in some places and people still laugh, but they always ask how I have a good source of money with out a normal 9-5 job and how I move in this type of economic weather, the key here is Real Estate. After the hurricane Maria everything was on sale and at a very low price. I went in and now progressively moving towards my financial freedom.
With that said, thank you to Mr. Kiyosaki for opening my eyes and push me to really re-think my life, and now making it better. Also to Ms. Gonzalez because I feel very motivated watching here, because if she can do it, I can also do it.

I've read ALL of Roberts books. I'm from the island of Oahu and decided to 'dump' hawaii, due to it's over-regulations, high taxes, and ever increasing government involvement in the housing market. I'm now in Virginia which is a much better state, moderate year round temperatures where I can at least ride my Ducati Panigale V4 R motorcycle 11 months out of the year, cheaper taxes and way cheaper overall cost of living(for example, gas price yesterday was $2.15; which I can assure you, you won't get in Hawaii and for damn sure not in California). Now, I trade the financial markets and I can tell you that when I make $6,000 in a day or $20,000 in a day, I don't have to worry about money, in this lifetime, because I know that I'm financially smart enough to not only make returns, the way I do, but I do it for less than 3 hours per day, Monday-Friday !!! A self education is the best education....

I hold a lot of silver a little gold but for me it’s a long term investment if everything goes to plan I will never sell mine and pass it down to my kids. What I do instead is when the gold/silver ratio is good I trade my silver for gold. Gold and silver are also legal tender is some states and if the dollar ever crashes you will be happy you have gold and silver because it will be the only real money which is the way I view it anyways.if gold is worth 250 us dollars you know the US dollar is strong if gold all of sudden is worth 10000 us dollars then You know the US dollar isn’t worth shit and there would be no point of trading it unless for other goods and services. @Articuno "Before Gold was money". You apparently do not understand what money is. Before money was BARTER. Money is a tool, nothing more. It is an immutable measurement of account. Before Gold was seashells, rai stones, silk, spices, trade beads etc... All different METHODS of money used at one time throughout history. Gold is another method of money. Bitcoin is a newer METHOD of money. All methods follow the same principle of money. Methods are ever changing while principles are not. Both Gold and Bitcoin follow the same principle of money yet are different METHODS at achieving that principle. Your eyes cannot see what your mind does not know.
You're also trying to compare a different version of Bitcoin as if it's the same as the original Bitcoin protocol? Try to send Bitcoin to a Bitcoin address and see if it works. Let me know how that works out for you. Different networks no matter how many different versions of Bitcoin there are. They are not the same and they do not work with each other. That's not inflation, sorry. That's your lack of understanding how the Bitcoin protocol works. BTC is a software protocol that follows the principle of money. It is a protocol similar to the internet protocol. It is a decentralized, censorship resistant, borderless, open-source protocol.
What is keeping Bitcoin #1 and will continue to be #1? The same reason why the internet protocol is still the #1 internet protocol to this date even though created in the 80s. It is a solution to a problem that was solved. That problem was the Byzantine General's problem. Go learn what that is. Also it is a software protocol and software can be easily upgraded. The Bitcoin protocol allows the ability to transfer and store value (energy) over the internet with no third party intervener, no one central point of control, censorship resistant and yet you say it has no value? If you cannot see how valuable that is, then that is your own lack of understanding and your own ignorances. Try to send Gold as an online payment. See how much of a hassle that is.
Gold is mined once, just as Bitcoin is mined once. The energy used after a Bitcoin is found is the energy it takes to verify the transactions when sending Bitcoin and secure the network from attackers. 1 Bitcoin equals 1 Bitcoin and that will never change. 1 ounce of Gold equals 1 ounce of Gold and that will never change. It is why both are immutable. No one can print more of either. It takes a lot of ENERGY to find Gold, extract it and put it into whatever form needed making it an "Economic drain", as you put it. Gold holds it's value (energy) because it is perceived scarcity and the energy it takes to find it is very costly. If it is not costly, then try to go find, extract some gold and put it into whatever form necessary. See how costly that is. That's why Gold stores its value. Bitcoin stores value just as Gold stores value. The only difference is the value is now digital and the protocol allows the ability to transfer that energy over the web. Gold does not. Both Bitcoin and Gold are identical in principle but are different methods of that principle. It is why they go hand in hand. One happens to be tangible while the other is intangible. However, one is more scarce than the other making it an even harder and more sound form (method) of money. I'll let you figure out which one it is.
