Yeah I feel like this level of toxicity seems to only exist in anime. In the west people will attack the content but rarely single out and bully the creator. The only thing I can find comparable is Star Wars, especially the prequel cast.

And the entire time I kept saying if they would just watch one episode of one show they would understand and would it too. I wanted to be understood. I Figured out how to get people who usually dont like stuff like that to try it out by simple psychology, as in getting a rough grip on your friend or family member, and recommending a Show that will spark this Flame when you watched your first Real anime, god knows i dont mean DBZ no Flak but it was always cool to be a dbz fan kinda but it was still weird to be a normal anime fan at the same time, same goes for naruto and one piece or yugioh as a child you dont recognize the japanese influence as much.

Another brother of mine i put on anime completly by accident i was just watching the solar Ellipse episode from Berserk and he kinda glimpsed over it for the first Minutes By the time casca got raped he got really invested in it.
Anime is almost kinda like therapy for me, maybe its easier for people to understand the vibe if they have a little struggle oder trying to find themselfs out.

Angel beats was a special type of anime that really makes you appreciate your life and the time you have. Although all the characters had very sad pasts the show was so lively and fun while the serious parts delivered so good.
At least my favorite mangaka's fandom doesn't bully him
He made 3 of the few animes that actually made me cry. And the hate he recieves is not waranted. Hope he gets better because honestly he is a good artist.

Clannad made me appreciate life so much that I could not even begin to imagine someone watching it and thinking "That wasn't what I wanted, let's harass the writer"
I didn't watch clannad, I saw many short clips, last episode and alternate ending of clannad and heck it wad daymn good.
P.s I lost the thrill to watch anime neither reading manga this days all I do is watch short clips and spoilers. Plus important part of the story through Google so yeah clannad was one of the best

Angel Beats is one of my favourite animes, to think Maeda retired because of bullying makes me just so sad. All of the awesome animes he still could have made. 😢

I watched every single one of those back in my school days.... He's the goat at making me cry every single time. Still nevertheless i understood from that time, that without those plots it wouldn't be a masterpiece.

@@versuzzero5335 basically the author wrote a 20 volume of the novel about a good relationship/chemistry between the MC and FMC and destroyed in the last volume of the novel because the MC is end up with unpopular side character for ridiculous reason, because that side character is the author's favorite, he wrote that 20 vol about the MC and FMC for nothing
these authors basically made my day a lot better, especially reading LNs and VNs.

Something about jun maeda works just hit the right notes always man, from clannad to little busters every time something stuck with me, even though some are supernatural the message was still very much human, to see people hate on this man is very ditasteful and sad.
Those people need to realize that not every piece a creator makes is a masterpiece. Don't expect every manga, VN, or anime that the creator's make is a masterpiece. Even the creator is just a human.
Edit: While we're at this, yesterday our kettle vtuber, Pikamee gonna graduate at the end of this month. Though she's the one who wants it and the real reason might not be known. About a month ago, she got harassed because she announced that she would stream and play Hogwarts Legacy. It got so bad that she canceled the plan and took off from social media, and when she got back, she announced about her going to graduate.
They bullied her to the point of graduating. Ffs, what's wrong with these bullies people?!

Angel Beats was one if the first animes to ever make me cry, it's appalling how people can say those things when someone put their heart on the libe for them.

When you make or create something and publish them to the world, you should accept the criticism and backlash of it, but know when it's gone too far. One thing to clarify is that he isn't retired, currently he's working as the writer of a JP mobile game called "Heaven Burns Red." Although, some time in the past months (a year ago) he received criticism because a recent story event from that game received bad reviews for falling short, that he decided to delete his Twitter account, though eventually made a new one and apologized for not keeping up with expectations.

Sometimes I don’t agree with an authors choices, but I don’t take to social media and abuse the author for their poor choices. I just scream them out in my home and call them morons. Regardless, no author or writer should suffer this kind of treatment, they’re people as well who wrote a story you obviously cared for.
I want to live in a world where people don’t hate on others and everyone gets the respect and success that they actually dissevered.

Bro, I kid you not, the first three anime he listed, Clannad, Angel Beats, and Charlotte are literally my top 3 favorite anime in that respective category. And when I mean in their category, I don’t mean that others are better from other categories, I mean that those ones are so special and unique that they can’t be compared to others I’ve watched, they all evoke a strong emotional feel from me and I have an emotional connection to those shows that I feel whenever they pop up every so often. I can’t believe the author was bullied for this, he’s one of the greatest author’s I know, none compare to what he makes as no one I’ve seen can make the kind of stories that he can. I always wanted an Angel Beats Season 2, funny thing is that Angel Beats is probably the anime out of the HUNDREDS that I’ve watched that evokes the biggest emotion connection to me, and I watched it in a single day. The opening, my lord the Charlotte opening, and the Clannad story…. This author is amazing, no matter what anyone else says. He has created some of the most beautiful works of art. I wish him the best now.
I have watched Angel Beats and Charlotte, those animes legit made me cry, and then people made him quit, I loved the stories that he would make, and how even with the unrealistic aspect, you could still relate to the MC. People are monsters, no cap.
How dare people do that to the Charlotte guy! As a new anime watcher Charlotte is my favourite so far, very sad to know that happened to him
