For $100 a box this is a pretty fun little rip, even though I'm not a fan of the 1975 Topps throwback design. But that's not the hot take...

That ‘75 design is legendary!
I understand paper products aren’t for everyone, but return on investment is much better in Topps Heritage than saaaaaaay, Prizm 1st Off the Line. You can have your Bogdanovic FOTL Prizm’s to /35 and your $10 autos promised per box at $1,000.00+ per, I’ll stick with what doesn’t make me go broke:)
I understand your commentary...but 1975 was a huge chase of rookie cards when I was younger...Brett, Gary Carter, Robin Yount and more. So I have been looking forward to collecting this one. I hope the prices plumet so its cheaper to put together lol. Also, they moved the SP's to the 1-100 #'ed cards.
lol. 75 is in my top 5 topps designs. 1-100 is the SPs this year instead of the top hundred. The chrome looks sick. Thank you for the video!!!
Heritage Chrome is just 2 sweeeeet!
Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Heritage and paper topps are the only way to teach investment bros and kids that card collecting is truly about collecting and not about trying to spend $K's on "rare" cards and gambling on 6-card products. 1975 was George Brett and Robin Yount's Rookie, and Hank Aaron's 1st card on the Brewers. It's an iconic set. Some basic knowledge on it too: SP's are low numbers this year 1-100 (they've also always been mostly regular vets), Most hobby boxes have 1 chrome (/999 or less) and a relic or auto. Most cases have 4 autos out of 12 boxes, with Real One Autos being the best paper auto of a player. Hot box chromes are always a nice addition too. A lot to love about Heritage...and if most people don't like it like you, then I'll be happy come high number with Holliday, Chourio and Merrill when hobby boxes end up being $50 like 2022 with Julio and Bobby.

I believe the 2022 mvp card with Judge was a B&W VARIANT. I have that card in color. Hope u read this

ripped my first and only box of this last week and had no idea I had a hot box until i watched this video 😂 thought the purple refractors in every pack was the norm
1-100 are SP i believe.
Agree that the hobby does not want those error cards anymore. But wouldn’t mind seeing an occasional “F*&K Face” card from time to time.
I grabbed my first box yesterday, and luckily it was a hotbox, and I had 5 hits & relic. 2x white border, chrome refractor, b&w, image variation

multicolor is too radical but lava sparkle waveshit cool
I agree completely on the variation logic...although these are fun/cool, it's just frustrating trying to keep track of these types of variations and then explaining the rarity to newer collectors is painful. Now if they want to add numbering also, that would help a ton. And Panini has plenty of these issues also (sending the side eye to my Brady aqueous test that has nearly no value compared to the rarity level lol)
I’m the same way about wanting labels on parallels, dumb it down like revolution does, I love that about that set
I love the 75 design and the chrome cards with the numbers on the front of the card.

Pack 1 I agreed with everything you were saying. MIddle of the rip, I'm thinking they aren't too bad. By the end, I'm convinced they're cool and I need some.

I just opened 2 hobby boxes and a mega box. Didn’t really pull anything super high. I was looking for Juan Soto auto

Man RGL, I never disagree with ya, but I like the color trip this year on Heritage! Also, pretty great box as far as Heritage and the 1 auto OR mem guarantee goes.
When it comes to Heritage and High Number, I wait for the price to drop and then it's an even better rip.

I feel like 2021 Topps heritage was my favorite which was 72. Love that design but idk 2008 I can't even look at or I start getting day dreamed and confused on the team logo and the messed up colors and patterns they used lol😂

I do like the team name block lettering. But the dual color borders make no sense as a team could have multiple combinations of colors. Black borders and all white borders are cool for the set to collect. I now have to go back and see if i got any flip stock. Had no idea those existed in this product. Cheap to buy fun to rip but dont hold your breath too much. Heritage requires some work to deal with wnen buying a box. But at this time of the year, what else are you gonna spend your time doing?
Going further back, Topps had random background/border colors in 1958-60 and also had multiple colored borders and varying patterns in 1990. I can't stand how boring today's card designs are. Trim colors are team colors Every. Single.Year. Perhaps the current MLB "Brain Trust" no longer wants random colors depicted with a certain team (e.g. 1972 Topps: (Yankees/Giants/Astros/Rangers in yellow; Reds, Red Sox, White Sox, Expos in green) in modern cards.

We opened 2 hobby boxes and they were pretty dusty. I agree with you on the misprint stuff too; it’s unnecessary and kinda tacky at this point.
All you gotta do is throw a little shade and the cards God's bless you. There is only about 2 autos a case. I feel the same as you about this product. The hits are extremely hard to hit. 1-100 are sp's low # now lol
The right players action variation sells well ..Shohei action does well , Acunas sells well
Heritage is like gitner...base cards r pointless fillers but the autos and relics r amazing lol

Hobby boxes are nice but the monster boxes are the best for your buck going for 50 bucks. Blasters and Hangers have been terrible for me. The monster boxes are the way to go with the 3 blue speckles chrome cards in each box. Even the target boxes with the red parallels are nice if you can pull the Elly color match.
Do hobby boxes have different inserts in different states he was getting multiple inserts I have never even seen and I’ve bout a few heritage hobby boxes the design even looks a little different I’m really confused

What were the backward cards? I had a bunch in my box but I didn’t see how they were different
Anything 1-100 are the SPs this year. Those were likely all of the flipped cards unless you got SP inserts too.

im sorry you have bad feelings about this set. tbh im not in love with it either, though a lot of collectors thinks its fire. that henry davis hit was some kind of wonderful. hes a shining star to be sure. one of these nights ill pull something that good from one of my boxes too. but thats the hustle with this hobby, so many wasted days and wasted nights opening the next pack thinking 'could it be magic?'
KILLING TREES FOR NOTHING, THATS MY TAKE ON THIS PRODUCT! I got a few sympathy packs and now use the cards to start my bomb fires! Great for kindling, sparks pretty quickly!

Why make Heritage like every other set with just color parallels and 15 diff number variations. You can have a valid opinon of just not liking the product but I dont think we need to change it

There are no "high number" cards in this year's set. They are now low numbers (1-100). Your backwards cards are those.

I just wasted my last $ on heritage. 6 blasters, 2 mega boxes, and 2 hangers deep. I know, nowhere as much as you fellers, but Not one card worth slipping in a top loader. No zoo cards, chrome cards, nothing. Not even a white border card. Piss poor in my opinion. Picked up 2 bowman blasters same time and got a numbered card in one box and a chrome 1st, on card autograph

The design looks like a pack of Fruit Stripe gum... the gum has gone away and this design should too.
Rgl this is not high number so you not looking for that in this set 1-100 is sp not worth much few cents more depending on player

Like the design, but not a good deal. Bought three hanger boxes for $14 a pop and got jack squat. Three worthless inserts and one SP. And there's only 35 cards in a box. Total ripoff. The regular Topps series 1 is a much better deal with 59 cards per pack and lots of inserts.
