Her dream was handed to her. I don't necessarily think all nepo-babies are devoid of talent, but Maude clearly got to where she is by her parents, because it's certainly not the acting...
I saw her as Sally Bowles in 'Cabaret' in London in August, 2023 - she performed magnificently in a superb show!! She sang terrifically and her English accent was perfect!! I had no idea she was on the show (I bought impulsively a ticket that afternoon in TKTS Leicester Square) and was thrilled to see her in such a powerful show. A major talent most definitely!!
She might be nepo baby but I have Meet her in person and she was super humble and nice and was surprised I knew who she was. So she is a good person and not some ego monster nepo baby.
That’s awesome! It’s funny to think that these famous folks have real feelings and are real humans. Anyway, I know from my prior experiences on set with many famous people. They ARE really awesome people. Only one dude on this one film I was acting on was rude to everyone. He kept to himself and never spoke a word to anyone. Everyone else who were all professional celebrities, were really humble and fun to be around. I’m not going to tell the names of the people, but they are all well-known. I sure hope paparazzi and fans of celebrities remember that they are REAL HUMANS with a job to do. They do not owe anyone any explanation of their personal life. If they want things private then they lay low. I just hope media companies wake-up and realize they have feelings too.
Loved her in Knocked Up and This is 40. She already had great comedic timing when she was that young. Imagine the laugh-filled atmosphere she grew up in. What a Lovely Lady she's become. 🌸🌷🌸
People love to hate, just for the hell of it. It's sad really. Just because she has famous parents people think that makes it okay to hate on her and judge her. They're just jealous they don't come from a rich and famous family. So what if it's easier for certain people to reach their dreams, why does that annoy others so much?
While I'm glad I don't live in NY, I really wish I could visit there and see several of these plays and shows. Living in AK can be sOOOo o suck sometimes
That is a young woman who is beyond cute! Wow. And she concussed herself running off stage. That's gotta count for something! :) What a doll. I'd totally go see that show.
Huh, never heard anyone pronounce it "ap-a-toe" rather than "ap-a-tao" before. Given Seth did the common butchering of Brendan Fraser's last name in his interview recently, I'll hold off questioning my pronunciation for now. 😜
I'm just curious about her singing voice. Not enough to buy a ticket but just seems unusual to be promoting a musical role and never sing. I dunno. Maybe there are videos and I just haven't seen them.
She seems to be a very nice person, but I recently saw her in Little Shop and frankly it was one of the worst performances I have ever seen in NY…right up there with Beanie’s (another nepo baby) disastrous Funny Girl. I just wish these people were self-aware enough to be cognizant of their own limitations. Tickets are getting obscenely expensive both on and off Broadway and to pay these prices to see some rich kid’s theatre fantasy fulfilled is frustrating. I’ve seen much better Audreys in local theatre productions. I wish her a lovely and fulfilling life, but perhaps in a career for which she might be more competently suited.
I do know that not everyone can act in film & theatre. I was told by many casting agents that just having a lot of experience with theatre DOES not TRANSLATE to ACTING in film. They are two very separate and different worlds, in which some people are fabulous in theatrical productions but are not necessarily good in acting in film. So, maybe she’s just better at being a film actor? Is this on Broadway or off-Broadway theatre?
The people crying about nepotism need to come to terms with the fact that their own lack of success is because of their inherent mediocrity and complete lack of talent rather than being because their parents aren't famous. Did it help her? Yes. Would it have helped you? No.
All these cries of nepotism are off the mark. Sure, she has famous parents, but she has also been acting in her dads movies since she was like 4 years old, so to say she's "unqualified" is ridiculous. So, you're mad she's had opportunities other actors haven't had because their parents weren't actors? Get over it. 🤷♂️ If she weren't a talented actress, she wouldn't have gotten the job, and the show wouldn't be successful.

Exactly. She's lucky she comes from rich and famous parents. People really just need to deal with that. It doesn't make her any less of a person, it doesn't make her any less worthy of respect, and it doesn't diminish her goals and accomplishments. Good for her for pursuing her dreams and so far being successful.

Heh heh; nicely done.
I guess either that or only play characters who wear military IR goggles…
Would Maude make a good Batwoman (Kate Kane) in James Gunn's DCU? if so, Maude's sister can do Alice (Beth Kane).
