November 29 2022: I watched also your sock and pompom prior to this one. With the sock what an important note was given with regards to the heel. The hole! I thought I was dropping a stitch and so frustrated but now aware this is the process and go in to sew after. The pompoms making your way is the best I have seen. Expecially when Carlos just gave several bangs on the table. Genius how this makaes it full. I was actually thinking when he said to guess what is next he was going to say “steam it”. This doll is unique and has its own character like both of you. I am glad you got tired with Barbie and created these precious dolls.
They're like little people, coming to life. I love these little dolls. I consider myself a beginner but, I plan to live long enough to make sox and those wonderful little creatures. You guys are wonderful. Thanks for this video. On to video 3.
Fantastic! I love the way the nose came out. And the eyes, very clever. I’ve done doll hair on fabric dolls that way. I knit a cap, sew it on the head, then I add hair your way. But with a knitted doll I can skip those two steps and add the hair directly. I’m always disappointed with dolls that have “comb over” hair. This is so much more fun. Plus you can curl it! Thank you both.
"and we got fed up with Barbie..." You guys are hysterical. I don't know how to knit but I watch these how-to videos just for your banter. Love you guys! xo
Love these dolls. And when you knit using the Continental or "picking" method (picking up the yarn off the left finger), you seem to have more control of the needles. I'm going to try that with my next doll. Once again, thank you!
I have a technical question. I'm in the process of knitting my first doll and I am almost to the underarm area. Do you think it would work to put the underarm stitches on scrap yarn instead of binding them off. Then once the arms are done, instead of binding off the underarm stitches on the arms, use the kitchner stitch to close the seam? Thanks so much!! LOVE these dolls. I'm knitting one for each of my granddaughters for Christmas!
if you put pipe cleaners inside the doll legs, body, arms, neck the doll would be posable and the neck would have more support. The dolls are super cute.

How lovely. Such cute little clothes. I will be buying your book. Thank you xxx
I am trying to teach myself how to knit the Norwegian way. Boy, it's hard for me. Will keep trying. Love your videos.
love watching your videos.

I'm currently knitting 6 more dolls 🤩 I'll reach the number 40 in total, I think 😎
Impressive!
I would love to find a pattern for Arne's crocheted hat. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the suggestion.
I am wondering why Arne and Carlos are not using 6" length dpns, they would be so much more handy without all those long lengths that you don't need!
