Ringing round the local scrapyards, searching through Ebay or Marketplace for one being parted out, on the off chance there was a gearbox laying about. Even if it was the same year would the automatic version not fit it? Maybe not, I’m no taxi expert but it’s hard to believe there wasn’t a model like this somewhere near London. Maybe ulez done away with them all long ago.
@@user-xk9ul5nx1j it was about 8pm, the taxi is decommissioned so they don’t have parts readily available for them (due to them not being allowed in London anymore), they only had automatic gearboxes and we had a manual
You guys are the best thing to hit UA-cam in a hot minute!! The way these are produced is so incredibly clean, but also extremely down to earth and "regular" and I mean that in a good way. I couldn't put my finger on it for a while but it hit me, you three are like the Geowizard of car UA-cam. Simple, to the point, well paced, but always extremely entertaining. Keep it up lads! 🇨🇦🫡🇬🇧

Something dodgy when a guy wants to buy a car that is seemingly now scrap maybe he knows it’s true value because it’s a rare one and that can be converted to electric vehicle
a can smell that gearbox oil when it burns it fucking minging .. once a realised it was a manual gearbox in london ur fecked.... one thing u never done was a burly in it only good things at the lti taxis ..
Watching it in a taxi repair garage is a miles better story than watching it in a pub
