Shelling on a windy day! Will we find any shells?

There is always a question of if we will find shells, but especially when it is windy. Luckily, the tide was low and there were a lot of shells washed up form high tide. We will find a lot of one shell and it's a favorite! Watch along to see what we find.

We just came home on 9-24 from Juno beach. The waves were so rough and the beach is almost gone, it is such a slope all the shells were being pulled back out to sea. We also went to singer island, no shells there either. I was so bummed because we drove 4 hours and stayed 3 days!

Oh no that is the worst! It can be so up and down with shells and how many are on shore

Hi, I think my sister and I just shelled the same beach this past Wednesday, between storms. I found lots of bonnets, too, mostly missing their tips as well. BUT, I found the same ark that you thought might be albino: do you have "Florida's Living Beaches" shell/critter book, or the book that just shows the shells (both by Blair and Dawn Witherington)? There is a shell listed as a "miniature white ark" that looks just like it, except it is supposed to be under and inch, and mine is about 1.5 inches (and yours looks bigger, too). If I google miniature white ark, a different shell comes up, so I'm not sure what we've got, and I considered it might be an albino as well, but I don't think so.
I think your last shell was a lion's paw with the bottom pieces missing, rather than a bay scallop? And your first shell looked like a giant atlantic cockle to me, rather than a prickly cockle. Tougher to tell on east coast, since the prickles are almost always worn off!

Thank you Diane! I do have the Florida's Living Beaches book and often use it, it's great! I think you're right as well about the ark shell, we find so many of them here, thanks for the comments
