This is definitely on point. Most of them claim to have their own style. They just don't see that they're like clones when it comes it to fashion taste and they're just hopping on the latest trend.

@@ryuixyui very true, often times you can wear anything with an "attractive" body shape, if you have an "unattractive" body shape there's stuff that just doesn't look as good, for example i didn't have a lot of white t shirts as a teenager because it made me look bigger than i actually was

I’m tired of seeing muted colors, minimalism, and disproportionate silhouettes. It’s been trending since the Yeezy clothing line launched back in 2015. That’s really what sparked off this ongoing style.

Exactly fr, i have been following the fashion world in general for 15 years now, and i have seen the mentality change =
2008-2014: " yo dudes remember when the world used to wear baggy clothings back in the early 2000s, how lame was that, such a lazy look. Glad we understand proper fit and wear slim fit clothings now, we look much better. Go hipster! Go street goth! Go minimalism!"
    and now shifted into,
2016-2023: "bruh remember when we used to wear skinny jeans and slim fit stuff in high school? that was like, so lame and desperate to look alpha. Glad we're wearing relaxed and loose fit clothing now, this is definitely the only literal meaning of 'proportion', and nothing else. Go streetwear! Go aesthetic! Go *insert*core!"
bunch of sheep filled with hypocrisy

@@houseplant541 nah, it is 2016 (specifically middle to end of the year) that i see the early rebirth of loose fit styling. it started with boxy tees and relaxed fit joggers/vintage washed jean, trying to capture the 90s aesthetic literally. but now ofcourse, from 2020 till now everything is much2 looser and wider, without having to rely on the 90s as inspiration anymore. it molded into its own thing right now. and btw im talking about all of these on a worldwide basis tho, so idk how it was in your country/region

Measurements and fit are everything. Yes, you should wear what you want, but only if you feel good when you’re wearing it. I already went through my baggy clothes phase in the late 90’s and early 2000’s so it’s just trend that I’m skipping and is a classic case of Gen Z rediscovering what us millennials were doing back then. Much like 90’s kids were rediscovering bell bottoms in the in the early part of the decade, but that just lasted as long as pogs did.

Not to spark a generational war, but seeking validation is moreso common amongst the younger ones. Not judging - I suppose it's only natural . I'm 45 now (ppl say I still look 10 years younger) I don't have time anymore to worry about potentially negative opinions. Ofc, general rule of thumb is to know your scenario, for example; don't wear bright colors to a funeral. Common sense. That said tho, I did the super baggy pants thing from 1999 - 2014 and I am sooooo sick & tired of it - and now, the so-called fashion guru's try to sell that to us as hard as they were trying to discourage the same thing during the skinny jeans era. And so I do what virtually none of them dare.
