I love that arial view of the tractor and field, the lines are perfect. Stange that it overheated, it didn't seem too dusty when ya blew it out. Thanks for taking us along. Kenny
That shot made my OCD happy haha! I trimmed the blowing down a bit in the video, was definitely packed full of seeds and those little fuzzy ends off broom straw. I usually try to start early when it's dewey to cut down on the dust, but the cut quality suffers. Always appreciate you watching!
Appreciate the kind words! Mowing is one of my favorite chores (when things go right). Hope to get the kinks worked out and finish cutting before the grass catches up. Always good hearing from you!
Mowing season is going to be bananas this year. My hay farmer could already be working on second cut if he was serious. Hmm, maybe I need an additional hay farmer?
It's crazy how fast the grass jumped up this year. 2-3 weeks early on the first cut here, and really pretty stuff. Hope to have some hay equipment for next year! Thanks so much for watching!
I have a 7 foot brush hog. It takes me about eight hours to cut our fields. I’ve been looking for an eight footer or 10 footer, but it is insane how much the price is once you get up to 8 foot and above
It really is crazy how much the price jumps above a 7-8' cutter. I've been looking at some of the new bat wings, but I do a handful of jobs every year off the farm, and don't have a trailer large enough to move one with the tractor. Sure would cut down on time though. Appreciate you watching!
Yeah I have a New Holland tractor that got bad fuel in it one time. Got fuel from a station though. To help prevent bad fuel from your transfer tank maybe add a filter on the pump of it? I've seen a few guys in the logging industry around me have filters on their transfer pumps. Thanks for the video as normal 👍
Great minds think alike! Planning to pickup those parts this weekend. Will post a video of the filter/fix. Hopefully an easy fix. Always appreciate you watching!
The turtle was a hoot haha. Definitely living his best life. I’ve got a DJI Air2s. Equipment definitely superior to operator, but I’m learning as I go. Appreciate you watching!
I was thinking about getting this exact tractor but have been hearing horror stories with the hst trans. How do you like yours? Do you have any problems?
Overall, it's been a great tractor. It does what I need and then some. That being said, the HST transmission does have it's issues. It's very sensitive, and starts bucking occasionally. Calms down when you pick your foot up off the pedal just a bit. I hate to say it, but once I got used to it, it's not a huge problem. It also quits moving forward or backward every once in a while. It always resolves itself with some back and forth motion on the pedals, but this could be dangerous in the wrong situation. Unfortunately, I'm out of warranty, and my dealer is no help at all. Would I purchase again knowing what I know now? Probably not. I really like Kioti, but my next purchase will be JD or Kubota, simply due to the fact that they have a real dealer network and factory trained techs at those dealers. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Avoid diesel with the bio fuel in it, it acts like ethanol in gas and absorbs water. It's fine in somthing that goes thru several tanks a year. But if you only use 50 of the 100 gal transfer tank a year, that's definitely an opportunity to absorb water. . A pump labeled B5 or B20 indicates the % of bio in the fuel. . On a rare occasion, you can find a pump at a higher % B50 or B99 but 0% to 20% is all the oems approve of. The 20% can plug filters at about 25F and then the issue go away after the temperature goes back up. . The other possibility is alge in the fuel. I know places that have standby generators will have the fuel ran thru a bank of filters. once or twice a year to keep the alge out of it. . It's become a bigger deal sence 2007 when they mandated the ULSD diesel, and in about 2013~ it also includes red farm diesel.
Good info! I stay away from any of the “b” labeled diesel if I can help it. I’m a creature of habit and usually get fuel from the same local pump. I’m pretty sure I picked up the crud from some bad cans. We recently upgraded our diesel safety cans at my day job. I took a couple of the old ones we replaced which had some fuel in them. Pretty sure after just now looking at the cans that my issue is rust and junk from those. Only about a quarter tank in the tractor at the moment. Planning to suck it all out, blow out the single supply line, change the filter, and fill with fresh fuel. Hoping that cures the problem. Will report back in another video. Thanks so much for watching!

@Foxfire Projects 10 4, buddy, thank you. If by any chance you end up with channel stickers, I would love one for my sticker board someday.
Shoot me an email with your address and I'll get you a couple sent out! foxfireprojects@gmail.com
Alway something with farm equipment. Never fails. Tom Ireland
You've sure got that right. Hope to dive into the issue this weekend. Will post an update. Always good hearing from you!
It’s always something with equipment. I mowed the field off last week. You have a nice place.
Appreciate the kind words! Mowing is one of my favorite chores (when things go right). Hope to get the kinks worked out and finish cutting before the grass catches up. Always good hearing from you!
Hello from the Netherlands.
thanks for the video Fox.
Sincerely Hollandduck
Always great hearing from you. Really appreciate you watching!
Thank you for moving the turtle.
Have moved quite a few this year. They are out in force!

Nice job. Seems like it's always something doesn't it.
Always! Fingers crossed for a simple fix. Thanks for watching!
The growth of grass doesn't wait, so it's really a problem for the failure of the opportunity.
I hope it gets resolved before the grass grows over.
The grass certainly doesn't stop. Hope to have the filters later this week and get things fixed up. Always great to hear from you. Hope all is well!

@@FoxfireProjects Thanks, good luck! 🤠
Great video that turtle must’ve thought he had been in the clouds when you picked him up😂. What kind of drone do you use

That field looked good enough to bail off, planning on getting a bailer at all?
Agreed, it puts out some great grass. Just don't have the time or budget to justify bailing at the moment. Maybe one day. Thanks for watching!
Listen, far be it from me to tell you how to run your farm, but you definitely need a Mahindra Roxor to compliment your Mahindra bush hog.

Did you ever pick the winner for the chainsaw?
We did, Darwin Smith won the Farm Boss. Check out the community page post for a pic of him with the saw. Stay tuned for the next giveaway coming soon!
How many acres is your property?
Mowable area is around 25 acres. The remaining 35 acres or so is wooded. Appreciate you watching!
