I can agree with this sentiment. Although Ghost is the last decent Cod to me, it won't match up to the ones before it, in terms of raw epicness in story telling, soundtrack, multiplayer and much more. As well in terms of the nostalgic feelings and memories we had to the ones before it as well.
Not just for cod, but for gaming as a whole. By the time ghosts came out, studios were getting lazy, and micro-transactions began to take hold of most games. By 2014, almost all was lost with only few games standing as beacons of hope. Now, we have to buy a red dot sight reticle for $5.
This song is one of the best in the Call of Duty franchise. The slow, quiet parts are representative of the ongoing struggle and suffering David, Woods, Alex Mason, and Raul go through. And the loud, dramatic parts are like the release of their inner anger and suffering. Beautiful song.

I don't think there would be any remaster as the game (cod bo2) still looks good. There was literally so much overhype for mw2 remastered and guess what? It was trash and a shame in the name of a remaster!. Cant get that shit again. But the developer is different behind bo2 so .....who knows? And while Call of Duty now is far and away from it's glory days, this is a testament that they happened and that legacy will live on. Sure its mentioned but all of the events of the game happen because Woods accidently kills Menendez’s sister with a frag in Panama. After that Menendez goes on a rampage and uses the global crisis as a rally point for Cordis Die. We all know that you can EASILY brainwash/intoctrinate millions of people by using the internet nowadays. IMAGINE if a real life Menendez was able to gain as much of a following as Andrew Tate did last year. We are way more vulnerable than we think.

I was one when this game came out and played it first about 6 months ago an absolute masterpiece, I wish treyarch was as good in bo3 and 4 Cold War was pretty good tho.

"What I learned in listening to the full story and the amount of effort that has gone into the back story and the characters and the full preparation (is) there is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn't make sense to have a gung ho, patriotic feeling theme song. It has to feel weighty. There is a lot of remorse and apprehension here."
That man is honestly a musical genius, he’s up there with all the other greats.

He was right to compose it the way he did. Trent Reznor didn't phone a single note in, he tapped into the emotions the story presented and created one of the most beautiful pieces to open Call of Duty in the franchise's history. He's always been a legend, from Quake and The Downward Spiral to Black Ops II, to nowadays with the Ghosts albums and Bad Witch.

@RS63 I was like 7 when world at war came out and you can bet your ass that WaW menu theme gave me the spooks. I could't play the game when I was alone because it was just that scary. The russian theme from WaW is the best though

For 2025 Treyarch should remaster Bo2 and change nothing except the graphics. The campaign was perfect, the MP was perfect and the Zombies was perfect.
