thank you for explaining it so easily that even someone like me who watched his first NFL season 3 years ago (I'm from Germany and grew up with Football/Soccer) and immediately fell in love with the Steelers.
I love how the whole team banded together this season to fight against all odds. Yes there are many nailbiter games and its not always pretty on offense but still you see how the defense stepped up to pull the offense. I remember all the experts saying "why trade for Minkah when you can have a high first pick next season?" and he shows them each week why it was the right choice.
Personally I think this season would make be a great "America's Game" documentation although its of course so unlikely that they will get to the Superbowl let alone win it to get that type of documentation on this team but I can see it and the typical interviews of the players and coaches in front of my inner eye

The Steeler Match zone correction is an great adjustment, giving up the short outside pass (probably 3rd and long) and taking away what hurt you deep/intermediate middle.

As a Steelers fan, I almost had a heart attack when this trade was announced, because, this is so out of character for us to give up a Number1 for a free agent, they just don't do that. Then, I went back and watched your prior video on Minkah as he was coming our of Bama, and I was even more excited. You hit the nail on the head....he is not just athletically gifted, he has an underappreciated very high Football IQ...Nick Saban said he was one of the toughest and smartest kids he ever coached through his program, he also was never injured (in the SEC!!) holy shi*t. After that things fall off a cliff though. Justin Herbert I think is first round worthy, as far as qbs go, but he's on the edge. Jalen Hurts makes stupid decisions that only work because he's throwing to CeeDee Lamb and he's not fast enough for his running to work in the NFL.
After that there's nobody I would even bother glancing at.

I loved that first dagger concept the chargers ran. My favorite part was taking the back and making him the fast 3 to the dagger side. It pulled that hook defender (55) lower in the hook zone expanding the window for the Q. Without the back he could keep gaining depth and rob #1. These guys are great play designers. The chess match every play is astounding.

I like the coaches copy plus graphics I can tell you took your time with this one and you did a good job. After saying that you misdiagnosed a couple coverages and said something’s pertaining to Minkah’s style of play but in reality he’s just playing out the defense. Even though the route combination was the same the reason he played it differently was based on the formation. Also the play he made that great pbu was man not cover 4.

Minkah is definitely a rare talent and the dolphins are probably kicking themselves now(not that they utilized him properly anyway, shoving him in as a slot CB like that when he's so obviously a pure safety). If they make the playoffs then i think people will realize just how unique that culture in pittsburgh is. Next man up mentality is really showing this year

As a Dolphins fans, I'm not surprised of Minkahs talent. I think he was being asked to do too much down here, but at the same time, he is at the professional level, on a team that wasn't expected to even win a game. He should have taken this year to learn what we were trying to teach him. I can guarantee that Brian Flores had a plan for him to become the safety that he currently is in Pittsburgh. But Flores needs versatile players and that was supposed to be one of his strengths when coming out of college. So my thinking is that Flores wanted to take this year to teach Minkah how to play at other positions, because we all know he was gonna be a good/great safety regardless. But if something were to happen next season or the season after (i.e. injury to a key player at corner, slot corner, or LB) then Minkah could've stepped in on certain plays and know exactly what to do. Flores knows Minkah is a stud at safety. He wanted him to be able to do more if needed. And Minkah was being very immature about it all, by making passive aggressive comments to the media about what the coaches were doing. And even when Miami tried to work it out with Minkah in order to keep him, he wouldn't budge. So I'm glad he's having success and Im also jealous. But just be prepared Steelers fans, he's already shown that he can be immature and a distraction. Dont be surprised if when it comes time for him to get paid, that he will definitely be looking for top dollar. And if yall cant afford what he wants, he'll jump ship and go elsewhere. I'm not saying that because I'm jealous or pissed that we traded away such a talented player. I'm saying that because I watched the entire drama unfold from start to finish down here. He either didn't want to play for Miami and put in the work that would be required to help a team rebuild (because I guarantee we were planning on making him the centerpiece of our defense) or he was just immature and selfish and thought he knew better than the coaches. This year wasn't about winning in Miami, it was about building a foundation and seeing who was going to step up and be part of that foundation for the future. And Minkah was most definitely in the plans for the future. We already knew how good he was at safety, we wanted to see what else he could do. Because a versatile player is insanely valuable in today's NFL. But he wasnt willing to learn those positions and asked for a trade. So we got another 1st to add to our already loaded bank of draft picks and the Steelers got a great player that went to a defense that already had the positions in place for him to succeed. We were planning on doing the same for him, via the draft and free agency. But he didn't have the patience for it. So I wish him the best, but there is a part of me that also wants to say fuck him because he wasn't willing to do what was necessary to help our team succeed and rebuild properly. That's not a team player, that's a "Me first" player. I hope I'm wrong, and truthfully, its probably going to be impossible to tell either way, because he landed in a dream situation where he can succeed immediately.
