Lovebites was on an 18 month hiatus after their founding bassist Miho left the band, so there was no new music coming out from them while they auditioned for a new bassist.
They brought on Fami to play bass for them, she's a 20 year old that gained popularity as a UA-camr.
They have a new album coming out February 22, 2023 and have put out 2 singles from the album, and are working on their next video!
Oh I can't wait!! Thanks for telling me, it seems I haven't missed much if they've been away for 18 months 😁

Yeah, everybody seems to instantly love her. We are very happy they are back in action. They just announced summer tour dates for shows across Japan. I'm sure they are already rehearsing for their upcoming shows in March.

...and they are now getting airplay on SiriusXM's Liquid Metal and have made The Devil's Dozen for the past 3 weeks now as well, I suggest to keep making requests whenever jose, or shawn are on for this song so that they see this is a popular song that people want to hear, thus putting it more and more in the regular rotation, thus moving them up more and more on the countdown, thus hopefully getting them to the number one spot!

You have to "Break The Wall" then look inside. It is dark. You'll "Set The World On Fire" and become the "Shadowmaker". "When Destinies Align" and have the "Hammer of Wrath" with you, you will "Raise Some Hell". Bear in mind! All the wolf's eyes on you!
We must stop comparing them to bands of the past or present, they are so much better. With what they have been showing for 6 years, it is these young women who must serve as a point of reference. They are above everyone by far!
DF seems to be the only band anyone knows who can play this fast.
On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after their leader, bassist Miho, left the group.
The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from the public from all over the world and recruited a new bassist named Fami.
"JUDGEMENT DAY" is the first song from the long rest.
"JUDGEMENT DAY" proves that LOVEBITES is back in full force and justifies the adoption of Fami.

Nice reaction. Nah, Lovebites is far advanced over DragonForce. There isn't any competition for Lovebites. In my opinion they are unique as they blend elements and inspirations into an amazing cocktail, and they have no equal. Name me a better guitar lead duo than Miyako & Midori (I can't), and then add to that Fami and her technical style, and you practically have 3 leads at times.
Fami, the new bass player, brings a technical wizardry to the bass lines. The solo run in this song is my personal favorite of Lovebites (Break the Wall 2nd). You can hear the bass throughout this song, but Fami kills it in the solo. I love the first handoff of Midori to Miyako as it drops and Fami's bass lines just pounds it. Asami's voice is the best I've heard from her. Haruna's cymbal and china work is off the charts. Did you see the guns of The Shredded Shredder Midori? She is so fast and tight. And Miyako has got noticeably faster.
This is now my favorite song. Checks off every box, and adds a few extra boxes of it's own.

DragonForce doesn't hold a candle to Lovebites. These ladies blow them away with much better songs by far. It's not even close.
Haha for sure, my knowledge of dragonforce is limited but the style of duelling solos is similar to me which is why I made the comparison 🙂

Honestly, Lovebites have long overtaken Dragonforce. The difference is the songwriting. DF are technically fantastic, but how many of their songs can you remember? Almost all of Lovebites' songs stick with you. They write truly beautiful music--some of their pieces stand with the greatest masterpieces in rock or pop history.

You beat me to the punch admitting that it’s been waaaaaaaaaay to long since you last reacted to the best band on earth. And I am entitled to say that because until you…paused….shall we say, I’d watched them all. It doesn’t seem you’re aware of the change in personnel, but you gave her kudos because the baby of the band, 20 year old Fami, is as good on bass as M&M are on guitar. Asami’s vocals are so much stronger at both ends of her range and The Haruna Artillery Battalion has added a few howitzers too. As for M&M, best twin guitar lead there has ever been. Full stop.
