    I’m new to racing this year and I watched a race today to just study it and the track. I noticed during the runs a lot of karts were loosing control and sliding around. I asked others about their tire prep and some said not prep Burris tires at all during the week or so before the race and some said to prep them. I’m curious what your thought is on this. The track seemed to be a really slick one but some guys ran just fine on it when others didn’t seem to do so well as said before.
    I do appreciate your channel as I have learned a great deal of information by watching.

      I will and have prepped Burris during the week BUT in my opinion they don’t like a ton of softening type preps. Something like hot lap or black sand during the week just gives a good base to add to at track. I tend to just prep Burris at track though, it’s more about bringing them in properly for whatever condition.

    Hey bud, wayyy off topic. Im a complete noob and want to get into the sport. I have a little money to spend and want to get a really good chassis. I currently have my eye on the ultramax rival. I saw you like prc. Can you explain the main differences?

      Ultramax is a great choice, built with absolute quality. I’ve ridden them before just prefer the PRC for my diving style. Don’t ask me to explain that cause idk. Lol.

    I race down in Texas the local track I go to is usually pretty dry and I’ve been using black sand which drys fine in the sun but as soon as the sun sets the prep takes a lot longer to dry which lately I’ve been using my heat gun to help it. should I be switching to a cold weather prep or stick to what I’ve got going on I do hotbox roll them during the week I run maxxis also the temp hasn’t gotten lower than 50

      Try adding acrysol to the black sand mix or Naptha vm&p. 50/50 at track will help dry quicker.

      I’d start with a a good base of one to two wipes prior to race day. Then clean tires after every run and do one wipe before hitting the track again.

    What is your preferred tire for sandy tracks

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  2 роки тому +1

      Just guessing but Vega yellow would be mine. Depends on the type of sandy though.
