Just speaking from personal experience I used to look down on those who lose like this in gambling but that was prior to me ever having gambled myself. After trying it you don't understand how addictive it is. I had a similar situation but to a much lesser degree, worked my way up to 1k from around $200 and got greedy and lost it all lol. The PTSD from losing was so life altering I haven't gambled since and have learnt my lesson lmao But I can easily understand how a man who has that much money could be consumed by something like gambling if they'd never experienced it before.
