- Sir Keir Starmer said he was confident Sadiq Khan could win a third term as Labour mayor of London, amid suggestions the contest with Tory challenger Susan Hall could be closer than expected.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir are braced for the results of the key mayoral elections in London and the West Midlands, which is also expected to be a close contest for Tory incumbent Andy Street.

I agree - criminals in London have had a charter from these two to do exactly as they like without consequences and without protecting London's citizens. Shoplifting is seen as a legitimate job by these criminal gangs and murder a now everyday occurrence. Sadiq Khan seems to think that Londoners have unlimited cash to fund his greedy motoring schemes for his own self-aggrandisement and apparently he's nowhere near done. He's a typical small man who, when given a little bit of power, has let it go completely to his head. I hope he's voted out.

I used to think labour would be better than the Tories, now I think the two parties are just out to score points against eachother and the country is not their priority
This bank clerk will be a tragedy. I put at about 4 millions the number of immigrants coming in over his 5 years of disaster and the sovereign debt (100%no) going up to that of Italy (140% now) that the markets won't wear, with dire consequences for our nterest payment level.
If you don't continue HS2, give leeds and bristol trams, and start Crossrail 2 and take us back into the single market asap i won't be voting for you.

Khan was always going to win, but I look forward to seeing how many Londoners couldn't be bothered to get off their backsides to go and vote so he got his third term.
