I have always wanted a pair of Roomeosbut they were always out of my price , and now I can afford them but Oakly doesn't make them anymore. SOOO I am keeping an eye out for a used pair. New Sub Thanks for sharing!

Amazing pair as always. I prefer the XX since my head is a bit too big for the Juliet’s.
Hahaha! I’m actually in the opposite situation: the XX x-metals are just a little large for my face, but the Juliet fit a little better. The XX are definitely beautiful pairs, though - especially the 24K which we will probably showcase at some point in the future.

I think Oakley would satisfy loyal customers old and new if Oakley rereleased there x metals. They do melt in a car fire😥 lost 2 Juliet’s and a pair of Romeo’s
Agreed, but unfortunately I think Luxottica wants to cut costs to the point that they have no intention of resurrecting the X-Metals. Sorry to hear that you lost several pairs. They're still super-durable overall, though.
I've had my Juliets for over 20yrs but they have no serial # anywhere. What does that mean? Have I worn it off over the yrs? I still have the box with coin & bought them from a shop here in Australia & they have been serviced by Oakley so they are real.
That’s a good question. If they’re over 20 years old they certainly should have had a serial number - even if they would’ve been warranty replacements. One of my pairs of polished carbon Julius came directly from Oakley headquarters and they did not have a serial number on them, but they are legit. That’s the only scenario that I could think of if they’re that old.
Have you considered to getting a pair of x-metal custom painted?
I've seen some custom painted Oakleys that were nothing short of amazing; however, I still decided long ago that anything in our collection would be 100% Oakley OEM, including frames, lenses (not custom cut, even from OEM Oakley lenses since that compromises the optics), unobtainium, and even the paint/coatings. I even had reservations about swapping pieces of the frame for the X-Metals from the same frame (Juliets, in this case), but decided to have it done only because it was basically tantamount to creating a pair of OCP Oakleys by choosing Oakley parts (i.e., frame color, unobtainium color, etc.). Still, I do appreciate the creativity and beauty of many third-party sources.

Yeah, different markets. I understand where they're coming from, but it also makes the "chase" to acquire the overseas releases that much more fun: the challenge of finding a pair is very satisfying once you finally get them!
