- It's SHOWTIME! Its that time of year again, and this time we are back and better than ever with my 30TH BIRTHDAY CAKE! Lets turn on the juice and see what shakes loose! Hopefully at the end we have a delicious Beetlejuice birthday cake!

And now look at you working with Fondant, modeling chocolates all.😊 GO Girl😊😊😊 as a chef, I'm proud of you, so next year you can do it from scratch and sift your dry ingredients and add water to the bake pan to help keep the cake moist. Take a little water on the tip of your finger wet where you put the head it makes a seal between the two Fondants like clue

Happy birthday! What a fun cake you baked for yourself! I have a couple of baking tips for you for future baking adventures. When adding cocoa powder to your other dry ingredients, sift the cocoa powder as you add it to the dry ingredients as cocoa powder can sometimes be naturally clumpy, also use a whisk when combining it with other dry ingredients to get it nicely incorporated. Finally, when measuring out your flour, use a spoon to scoop it into the measuring cup to get a more accurate measurement and to keep the flour from compacting into the cup.
Now.... last year I think it was, you made a spooky pie. Do you think you'll do something like that again this year?

Honestly, 30 didn’t bother me too much because I had just gotten out of an abusive relationship and it felt like a landmark transition. I was a little bothered by 35, this year 38 got me. In the end, another year is a great accomplishment! Each year your cakes just keep getting better and better! Welcome to the 30s club. 🖤

30…Flirty…and FABULOUS! Happy Birthday Midge!!! You’re a sugar artist! That molding chocolate sculpture is soooo GOOD 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and you’ve figured out fondant! I’ve been doing crazy cakes for about 20 years (home baker, self taught) so that my kids wouldn’t have sad looking cakes for birthdays due to my peanut allergy (no bakery cakes here)- And I gotta tell ya…BRAVO!!! Practice makes perfect. Every year you get better and better and I always personally look forward to your birthday cake making. This was not a disaster video by a long shot lol. Welcome to your 30s Midge! I just stepped out of mine in March and have to admit the 30s are fabulous. These look amazing! I've decorated cakes for years (just for family and friends) and I have never been brave enough to work with fondant. Also, happy birthday!
Fondant can be intimidating or annoying. The best application, in my opinion, is to frost your cake and let it sit in the fridge to get the frosting set to, and then add the Fondant after that so you're working a with a nice smooth and firm surface.
