The pandas at the zoo where I live, well I’m in Glasgow but the zoo is Edinburgh can literally choose if they want to go out or not and they don’t really forced into going the part where you can see them. They also only let a set number of people into the viewing area at a time and there’s a keeper in the viewing area making sure that you aren’t too loud and answering questions about the pandas.
Also the female panda worked out that if she faked being pregnant that they’d keep her inside and give her more food 😂

Caroline well, pandas is getting a lot of attention and is one of the main attraction in zoos. So maybe

Panda's dying off because they're too lazy to do anything, including mate... that's what we call a "big mood"
Mating for Pandas only happens once a year in VERY TINY timeframe.
There are other factors also...
1. They have to like each other for there to be any chance at all.
2. If they do like each other, then they have to figure out HOW to "do it" Bc they don't really have experience with knowing what they're doing. They try & a lot of times don't succeed.
3. If they manage to get as far as to actually mate, correctly, Then cross your fingers that's she pregnant!
*Pandas in the wild are a freakn miracle!!*
Even in Zoos, they will always give them the chance to do it naturally. If that's not successful, they will inseminate the female, & that doesn't always result in pregnancy, either. Soo...
Everyone now has to wait until next year to try again & hope for the best.

It was buggy during the beta, before it was released. All games are buggy in the beta. That's why they have beta testing in the first place.
I discovered your channel through the Planet Zoo Beta period. Since then I have fallen in love with your channel. The thought and planning you put into your episodes is amazing. I have been watching the development of Pinewood Hills waiting for the release and you have blown me away with this first episode. Not only is the build amazing but I loved the Panda factoids that you add in as well. I can't wait to see what else is in store for us!

Pretty sure the ying-yang Panda enclosure design is from Denmark(Copenhagen). It was opened april and does have the restaurant you were reffering too.

I live in the Netherlands and they also have it there. They opened it in 2017. So i'm pretty sure it comes from the Netherlands. So Denmark copied it from the Netherlands.

@@Harryaars I agree! I don't believe that it's bad. The panda owners from China had to come to The Netherlands in order to approve the habitat before they even gave permission for the pandas to move here. If it was a bad habitat they wouldn't have approved it. I even think it is better than other panda habitats I have seen which are in San Diego, Toronto and Mexico City

Harryaars its a zoo from Denmark but we have a lot of zoo’s but most of them don’t have any panda’s

Szechuan Panda is actually pretty tasty; it's expensive, but if you can find it, try it with the hot mustard. Combining a restaurant and Panda enclosure is genius!
I agree on not doing a video just showing all the animals but would love to see a scenery pieces video like when a PlanCo expansion came out and you laid all the new pieces out in their sets
I think something amazing you might be able to do is build exhibits like this in a video, then have a 'not speedbuild' of placing it in a larger zoo, but have the exhibit in a blueprint so we can download the blueprint and actually build the zoo with you and at the end you could go live for the tour and we could actually follow along on our own map.

Are you sure you're not talking about Denmark? In Copenhagen the pandas have an enclosure designed as yin and yang. I don't know if there's also one in the Netherlands though.

I went to see the Panda in Chengdu earlier this year, but you cannot understate just how much they eat and poo. Adorably cute, but also - man that's a lot of dung 😳💩
I think the exhibit looks great - like you say maybe the architecture is slightly overscaled, but I think you balanced the elements well :)

Really love the combination of amazing building as well as very informed commentary put together. It makes it incredibly interesting to watch and listen to, instead of just watching it for the build. It looks gorgeous honestly I’d love to know how to build myself using the in game tools but I just always use other people blueprint ´cause I get frustrated and it doesn’t work how I want 😅

Youre talking about the zoo of Copehagen with the yin and yang and the restaurant underneath. The enclosure in the Netherlands is much different

Looking forward to seeing all your builds! Would love a video on what changed from beta to the full release if anything did mechanics wise. Wasn't a huge fan of how little cash mattered in the beta because one or two donation buckets would bring in way more than you would need to spend and I struggled getting animals because you only get decent conservation points from getting rid of the animals that you have. After a couple of hours I had like 200k in cash with like 8 or so animals and few points to get more but maybe I was going at it the wrong way?
They use enrichments to make the animal work for it cause in the wild the food wouldn’t be given to them freely, enrichments make them use their minds just like how they would have to in the wild. It keeps their minds working so they aren’t bored in their habitats. I work at a zoo lol making food for the animals (that isn’t the keepers job, they r too busy for that) Animals get a amount of food that keeps them in a healthy weight. Not too much and not too little. Keepers do give them other enrichments throughout the day that isn’t part of their diets but they don’t go overboard with it.

For the panda habitat in the Netherlands yeah there are not a lot hiding places but I want to say that when they get stressed or something they can go Inside. There is also a litlle panda baby born in the netherlanda

my off day routine: Wake up, breakfast, go to planet zoo because I had an exhibit idea the night before. Finish the exhibit. Close Planet zoo because I have no creativity left. Go on youtube, see a planet zoo video in my recommended, watch it, go back on planet zoo.

Fun(?) Fact: China actually owns all of the world's pandas. So zoos in other countries have to have them on loan, there are many fees involved with this. For example, if breeding is successful the zoo may receive a grant from the Chinese government of let's say $80,000 however on the opposite side of the spectrum a panda death can also cause a fine of $100,000

I believe the panda enclosure you're referring to is from Copenhagen Zoo in Denmark.
I would ask what unnanounced animal you're most happy about making the cut, but I think I can take a guess and say it's the flamingo lol
I'm so happy we have bongos, I thought I saw one in the background of a clip of giraffes in one of the very first trailers we got for the game but convinced myself it was a statue or something

Pandas are super lazy. So much so that if they have 2 cubs(given that they actually successfully mate), they will only take care of one because that’s all they have energy for. Which is why conservation is so important for them. They alternate cubs with the mother so they both get fed

How did you place those path pieces at 0:25 - 0:39 while keeping them square and without the game adding edges to them? The path system is driving me nuts and I can't figure out how you're able to make such nice plazas and viewing areas.

Was playing the game for 5 hours.....its hard work , but getting there , there is so much you need to do......SANDBOX......REALLY helps.....when you play game . getting on with it ...the game ...ME : CATSPAW, on Steam .

That guest "spider-sense" for facility buildings needs to change. Makes no sense if I completely cover up a staff building and hide the path that the guests still complain. You should be rewarded for finding a creative way of hiding your staff area.
