The actress cast to play Brooke's mom was perfect. And I am glad her parents finally got their act together. I mean, it would have been nice if they could have been there for her when she was growing up, but at least they finally realized they had an amazing daughter. I loved when Julian laid into Ted for being a horrible father. Most of the characters on this show had questionable parents, expect for Haley (her mom and dad were around and active in her life) and Lucas had Karen and Keith (Dan was no prize for Lucas) and Peyton's dad was always away for work. At first Deb was working all the time and then she had her addiction issues and again, Dan was no prize, until the final seasons, when he came through for Nathan. Brooke's parents were always fighting or not around. Most of them sort of raised themselves.
