Makes me tear up how these girls entered a genre dominated by hardcore dudes and chicks and came through with this 'Cute Metal' style and completely changed the game. I hope to see them go far!!!! I was never a metal fan - I only heard and saw BABYMETAL for the first time less than 2 months ago and since I watch their videos every day. These adorable girls with their incredible energy, talent and professionalism, and the fantastic musicians of the Kami band - what a show they put on !! Already I feel sad when I watch these older videos with Mikio and Yui-chan - how painful must have been the loss of these 2 for the band and for Moa and Su-chan. Yui was so cute and adorable - she put the BABY in BABYMETAL! Momoko is very good but nobody could ever really replace Yui.

The shifted to the mainstage thing at Sonisphere 2014 is a myth. The organisers put them on the mainstage because they could see how popular they were on social media before the festival. Gimme chocolate was blowing up at the time on social media and when they heard they were touring Europe they invited them immediately. The organiser boasted "they were the first people to book them in Europe". Having said that, it was one of their break out performances and they did really well that day and won over a lot of new fans. It put them on the map for a lot of people in Europe. It was their biggest performance at the time and there are photos of the girls looking very intimidated before the first performance.
