New subscriber. After decades in the car business, my very best day was when I decided I had had enough . I had all my remaining stock transported to the Auction and sold the lot of them. Kindest regards 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Callum and his dad know their stuff, they should get the goody bag and the bottle of wine you mentioned. Not just for fixing it but the stress they have saved you from thinking it was a lemon
your team work so well together. I like your style of management. so many managers like to micromanage even though they know nothing of the job they want to oversee. i found it was best to trust the staff you spent time hiring.
Not just small dealers - bought a Corsa (only £1k) from a Vauxhall dealer via Dealer Auction - after 2 miles caught fire - sold as scrap for £150 all within the space of 3 hours - been better burning £20 notes - at least would have got some heat! Their response - tough it was ok when we had it.
As you say avoid independent dealer cars, but if you can sort them they're always very cheap and limping thru at the end of the sale, tbh most have bad engines tho, I always go in person to the auction and still get legged up, ha, ha.
Buying at auction (any auction) is about the numbers. If you are only buying a few cars a week then buy privately instead. You can do your due diligence and thoroughly check it over. Whereas is you need 30+ cars a week then you need an auction and you'll have to take the rough with the smooth like the rest of the motor trade?
In 10 + years in the trade I have never seen a car smoke that bad from a wrong injector code wow!. run a little rough maybe but never that. the amount of fuel it was banging in must have been crazy! bet last owner probbaly sold cos of poor MPG and smoke when could have had easy fix!
I watch yourself and a few other dealers and most of the time find the content interesting, but it must be time-consuming. I don't know if anyone has asked this question before, but given that your time is valuable, then doing these youtube videos must bring a reasonable monetary return. Otherwise, why do them? Thanks and all the best!
If it was easy, anyone could do it! Buying BMW's means you have to deal with those buyers, generally cheapskates, and want champagne motoring for banger money?
Hi Rob, new sub here, do you not have the same grace as Joe public and have 14 days cooling off period, also i'd be tempted to contact previous owner and ask the question.
It makes good ...viewing .. ..back in 83 ..i put a MK1 Capri ..through auction...I got £72 nett...it needed a clutch and P40 ....I got a parking ticket ..after he replaced clutch ..he took it to southemd fior ice cream....v5 still in my name mm

I love the fact it was changing from "we bought"to"I bought" depending on how knackered you thought it was 😂
🤣🤣🤣 good spot 😂👌

Same noise if you need washer fluid to a gearbox dying 😂😂
That’s a mechanic who deserves a pay rise well done (new subscriber)

Bloody how what madness
Sue them,you'll win.
Such a likable bloke. I see great things for this channel for sure. One thing…. Longer uploads please.🙏
Great result fingers crossed for you. Callum and the Dad geniuses. Subscribed 👍🏼
I'm glad I discovered your channel Rob. As a Castleford lad retired to Spain it's good to hear West Riding accents.
It's been nice to follow from planing the auction to hopefully "fix" the problem.
Great video Rob absolutely fascinating to see your side of the business 👍 credit to you and Joe for putting these types of videos up 👏
It did have 'Smokes' on auction listing. Assumed you'd missed it when you never mentioned it.
Enjoyed that m8 welldone,
Grate team.
.
Rob. Great mini series Sir.
Someone's been fiddling with that car at the previous dealer that didn't know how to fix it. Some mechanics are out of their depth with BMWs.
what a great video enjoyed that very much. thanks
Loving the content
Can feel your stress through the screen😂
Been there, bought one or maybe two, it's easy done....
As you say avoid independent dealer cars, but if you can sort them they're always very cheap and limping thru at the end of the sale, tbh most have bad engines tho, I always go in person to the auction and still get legged up, ha, ha.
Rob's fixed it! 😂
These are great videos. I have subscribed.
Don't worry it'll be alright son.
Or 4) it’s been smashed up and sat in a yard waiting to be repaired.

Normally if there is a fault on theses BMW's, you get one of two green arrows flashing on the instrument panel
Very entertaining Rob
Great video 😊
Wow such a easy fix how can another garage not code the injectors 😂😂😂hope its all sorted now 👍 👍👍
Great content
Happy days
Yes indeed :)
That BMW is too heavy for that transporter
Someone said you are very handsome in here ...Rob ..just saying
😂😂 I will take that thank you!
Are you MD there ...?
I am indeed.
First tune viewer, your voice reminds me of Gary Barlow are you from the same town?
That timing chain sounds shit it’s probably about to give way without warning

I’d sell that to someone locally just in case
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A CAR DEALER ROB ??
you seem to know your stuff

Lucky boy? 0:10

What's wrong with it is it's a BMW
So many things wrong with this one...
18 months without MOT??? Your math skills are lacking. Jan. 2022 - Aug. 2024 is OVER 30 months sir.
His maths brain wasn't too good here ..but over all his high end dealer brain ..is very much in sync ..
Ohh you are very handsome ❤
Considering you supposed to know what you doing, you certainly pick crap cars from auctions, or is that for video content only
Who said I know what I am doing? 😂😂
Jokes aside, we all get unlucky mate.
