@@truckinwithray Maybe I worded the question wrong. Do they have you wash it like every week or just whenever you want. Does the inside of the trailer have to be washed out? Im a flatbedder looking to get into tanker. I had a video interview today and I mentioned your videos. You got a good reputation over there homie. Hopefully I’ll be joining you but in the Dallas location. Thanks for the insight
When you handed the guy the bucket with some fuel, is he testing it to make sure it’s the proper fuel before unloading? Also is the grounding wire to prevent static shock from igniting the fuel? And last question, do you get paid by the hour or by the delivery? Love the channel man! Stay safe brother!
Yes, the ground cable is to prevent static shock. He’s testing the fuel for water, the gravity and clarity. It’s like a chemical equation…has to be over or under by 1 point. He’s also making sure there’s no containments in the fuel. In my case, my trailer is only one compartment, so it’s almost impossible to load the wrong fuel. The rack won’t let you load fuel your not authorized to.
Great content man, this is what i dream of doing, Recently got all my endorsements just waiting til i hit my 1 year to choose the right fuel company. How dangerous would you say this field of work is tho ?
Congratulations bro. I’ll be honest any job you do is dangerous when it involves driving commercial vehicles, the job itself isn’t dangerous. As long as you train, and always focus on what your doing, you’ll be solid. Now we can’t plan for other people, but that’s any truck you drive not just a tanker.
Hey buddy just found ur channel love your videos I subbed cause I can’t wait too see more but I have a question im currently going to cdl school and getting all my endorsements I really wanna haul fuel how can I get my foot in the door with a fuel company with just starting out any advise helps brother I appreciate it
I appreciate the support bro! Thank you. Depending on the area you live in, you might want to check out Eagle Transport, I’ve personally never worked for them but I know a guy who does…he parks in the same yard I do and he’s fresh outta school. But don’t get discouraged if you find places that are hard pressed to give you a chance. Another thing you can do is..look up local milk farms and ask if they need help moving milk tankers. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s a start. You can also look at pool companies in your area. They might need someone to haul their water tankers. Any other questions, jus they me know bro.
@@truckinwithray yes sir I've been looking around and even talking to some people there's a local company here I've been looking into called Coastal transport they hire out of school I'm pretty sure well their website did they pay by load and miles I'm not sure how that works but isn't it almost like an hourly rate or like salary just a different way of getting played?
@@aaronmorse5245 It’s all essentially the same thing. For example, if they pay you by the load/ mile you average $300 a day. It breaks down to $37.50 an hour. I get load pay, even on days when I work one load, I still make my load pay and it breaks down to a higher hourly pay. When you get paid by the load, it’s an incentive to hustle and get done. The less hours you work the more you make. An hourly guy has to make sure he’s hitting his 55 hours a week. So it all breaks down to the same thing.
Thank you bro! I appreciate the feedback. I personally feel fuel hauling is probably the best type of trucking there is. For me, it’s Jet Fuel just because of the places I go and the places I don’t have to go..🤣
If you don’t mind me asking. How much do you average yearly? I left Orlando due to the low pay and currently reside in Dallas. Looking to move back if I can find a decent paying trucking job
I get it for sure bro. So honestly, I hustle a little bit more than the average driver. I’ll take extra loads if available, I’ll work a 6th day and with my incentives, I’m between 95-100k. I’m definitely working for it.
You doing a good job driver.
Ray, just found your channel and I love your videos! Keep up the great work!
Thank you, I appreciate the support!
Random question but how often does the company pay for washes?
Every time we wash
