Purchased two, one Queen the other twin with the original legs. I didn’t care for the height so when the 12” legs became available I replaced the legs. I love these beds, they were easy to assemble, I was able to put them both together without assistance. The frame is perfect for my organic latex mattress. I’m planning to purchase the Fold platform so I can store it when not needed. 😄
I think this is the bed frame i'll buy, My only concern is the two central beams. I tend to sleep in the center of my bed #bachelorlife. @dugroz Do you notice an increased firmness in the center of your bed on this frame, Or does the firmness seem consistent over the whole surface of your bed?
I've been trying to decide between this and an IKEA Malm with Lonset slats for a few days now, and was kind of worried because there's almost nothing out there about this company except for Amazon reviews, a handful of posts on the r/bifl subreddit, and a Wirecutter article. Had been leaning towards the Malm but watching you walk across the slats in this video may have pushed me over to a KDF Charleston! This is kind of out there but given the sturdiness and simple design, do you think you could repurpose this into a display table if you ever replaced it as a bed?
I have had both the twin and king sizes with the 18" legs for about two years and I like them. The trundle doesn't fit under the king. I put the trundle under the twin, but the 10" mattress I have is too big. It rubs when I roll it out.

Thank you for the great video. Has the color of the wood changed to be less green etc.?
A bit. But not fully.
Got the idea from you to stack up the slats to level our the side rail when attaching it to the head rail.

Absolutely! If you're good with a very short table!!! ;) Thanks for the comment!
And yes, we still have it, it is insanely sturdy.

Yeah, I think it looks like 8 - 8.5" would be about the max thickness for the trundle mattress. Thanks for watching!!!
I like the sturdiness of wood.
Ordering one, but getting the 12 inch legs
Thanks, diet Pizza!
Do you notice issues with wood dust?
No - we still have it, still use it, and have never painted or stained it. No issues with wood dust at all. Cheers!
I’ve had 2 of these beds for more than 2 years and there is no wood dust. I painted one but left the other “raw,” no issues with it.
@@lauram1208 I’ve had it for over a year now. It’s amazing.
