It would be great if you could call it Malayalam film/movie... If you have noticed people in the film Industry and allied industries never use terms such as 'Bollywood, Tollywood, etc... It is considered derogatory by people in the industry... We all have identities of our own and we stand out because of that... adding "......wood" makes it seem like we consider ourselves lesser cousins to Hollywood (which is again a place where most big studios are and even the people in that industry do not call itself that).... It is always Indian film (industry), Malayalam film (industry), Tamil Film (Industry) etc... Let us be proud of that as the industry is proud of it themselves... Just a suggestion....
This is one of the greatest movies to come out of Malayalam cinema industry. Good on yall for finding the indie arthouse filmbase of India. They have their own style of films and stories that's very different from bollywood, telugu and tamil industries. People rarely venture out this deep when getting into Indian movie industries. What i really love about mollywood which lacks in other indian industrys. Is the lack of breaking the beauty standard. Not just about skin color. Malayalam movies do show more dark skinned people although theres still work left to be done its not perfect yet. However they break beauty standards. Like showing girls with not model like faces, darker skin, acne/pimples.
One thing about malayalam movies is the dialects and the way of speaking they use in CERTAIN movies makes the movie so much funnier or better. Like how Shammy talks is not necessarily a dialect i mean obviously it is. But just the way he talks is with such a psychotic feel in his voice. He's a good actor
