Hi Therese. 6 cards again!!!! Well done and they're all so different and beautiful. Trust you to make browny/grey look fabulous and yes, it does look like marble. Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us all. Bev.
Wow, such beautiful cards & I really love your "same but different" series - really gives me a ton of ideas - so thank you Therese. Really love all those backgrounds - but especially the last marbly one.
Hey Therese! First I must thank you...the marker airbrush...no more getting dizzy and making my head swim! (Fantastic idea!!) I really love how each card turned out they are very beautiful. I don’t usually reach for Browns except if I’m coloring a tree...but I really loved the one that you used the brown tones and the flower you colored with copics. This kinda inspired me to give the brown colors a try when I get out my alcohol inks. Thank you for sharing. 🦋
Wow, love the yupo backgrounds. Haven't tried them myself but I'm certainly intrigued by this technique. Love your final card it's so elegant. Thank you for this series I love it so much and find it inspiring. Cheers Lisa
Very lovely. I have yet to try this technique. I think all of the color combos were great. And I had the same thought about the sky behind Santa. The poinsettia cards were just perfection. I love warm gray tones.
WOW! Your cards are utterly fabulous, especially the brown toned ones with the gold foiling! I’ve always wanted to try foiling and this way I don’t have to worry that I don’t have a machine to do it. Your drumming fingers made me laugh! Tfs
Love Love Love your Christmas creations here Therese. Always a pleasure to watch you do your magic with that lovely laugh every now and then. Thanks so much!
Look at you with ur gloves love- made me chuckle. These are awesome. That PB tree is stunning. I can’t buy anymore Christmas stamps/dies so just stop it!! Xx
Man Therese, all the cards are truly gorgeous but that alcohol inked panel in the browns is just STUNNING! I've did attempt to use some foil on alcohol inked backgrounds but I wasn't successful at it....probably didn't wait long enough as I'm not a very patient person, however, I don't like to give up either so you've convinced me to go back to the 'drawing board'! Oh, and I just adore your laugh....it's contagious! Thanks Therese
Such lovely work, as always, thank you! Being frugal, though, whenever I see somebody putting an entire sheet of foil over the alcohol ink background, my inner cheapskate yells, "Just cut off a strip and work it!" LOL Best wishes to you and yours for a lovely holiday season. :o)
My apologies that it wasn't linked below but I was waiting for it to come back into the Penny Black store, and here it is shop.pennyblackinc.com/p/christmas-elegance Hugs Therese
You could make a distress reinker background and add glue streaks to add foil highlights, I reckon that could work (and there is also a decofoil glue pen that you can buy too, but I am thinking just try it with a normal liquid glue first to see how it would go), Good luck!
Thank you for such a quick reply Teresa, (hope that is your name) I think I’ve got the pen so I’ll definitely try it with digress reinkers and the pen to see what it comes out like! Thank you again 🤗
I must be brave one day, you know, when I have another day to JUST PLAY! They are so few and far between! These panels are just too beautiful, Therese... can a girl reserve a Christmas card? lol xx =]
Beautiful cards Therese. I have all the things to do backgrounds but haven't tried it yet...bit scary but you have inspired me to give it a go. How long did you wait to put on the foil. Thanks for sharing.💕
Air drying in our humidity here was I would say about 4-5 mins but I found it easier to hit the background with the heat tool and I just looked at it in the light and made sure that there were still some shiny bits (where it was still wet). I did justhave someone tell me about adding glue instead and adding foil that way, it could be easier but I haven't tried it myself yet. Good luck, it's a fun technique though lol.
I love when you laugh at yourself and that you love what you do and play with it.
The Poinsettia cards just tickle my fancy. Lovely.
Love the pink and blue background the best. Loving the pink sentiment strip!
I especially love the foiled sentiment and warm greys on the last card. Great cards Therese 😊
Awesome job Therese! Love them all. Thank you for sharing 💕💖
I love the effects of the foil...Such beautiful cards, Therese! Thanks so much for sharing your tips and tricks with us :)
Enjoyed this video as always. I liked all of the cards. Thanks Therese.
Always wanted to do more with my yupo paper. Thank you for sharing all these lovely ideas.
I love all 6 cards but my absolute favourites are the last 2, they way the inks melded into each other was just beautiful!

Yes, I'm not particularly patient waiting for things to dry, i think that is why I struggle with watercolors at times.
Awesome cards! TFS
Very beautiful, way to go. Tyfs
That last card is just stunning! Looks like you had fun playing with alcohol inks and Yupo! :)
I certainly did have me some fun and definitely made me a big mess too lol.

Fabulous cards, l wonder if I could use distress re inkers for this technique! 😊

It might be better if you chose your own then there is no pressure on me lol.
i have the same trouble getting foil to stick, i've resorted to flick on glue now ;-)
That's a great idea Maaike, that way I can put the foil exactly where I want it to be, thanks for this tip!
