There are some people in the comments saying the Ferrari F40 sounds like Honda. Well, F40 is a flat plane V8 like 458,488, McLarens 720s, 675lt. They usually sound like 4 cylinders 🤷♂️

You are absolutelly right. The sound of engines depends on the shape of the crankshaft, not on the number of cylinders

Probably why new update taking ages I know it Japanese car theme car set coming so far nissan Silvia s14 and the zx300 been confirmed
NFS really stepped it up with the engine sounds (though I wish they can get the M3 GTR right like they did in NFSMW). The only other game I know has more accurate engine sounds is GRID Autosport.
UA-cam User the M3 GTR in mw uses sound samples from a TVR, not a M3 GTR

One thing that need for speed games have been doing for a while that I don’t understand is when you’re revving at a standstill, the revs shoot up instantaneously like the flywheel weighs 2lbs, but then the engine deceleration is super slow back down to idle. I’ve noticed it since nfs 2015 and it always makes it so much less satisfying to rev at a standstill. This only really happens with faster cars or cars that have been heavily modified, but every car you get in the game will be eventually so it’s inevitable.
What happened to the NFS Bat tho? The real thing sounds like it wants to kill u while the Bat in NFS sounds like it's dying... They made my boy Murcielago dirty

The difference between real life and NFS sounds is that the NFS is recorded by around $6k microphone (or more) and real life $100/$500 camera

You haven`t heard in NFS Rivals it sounded more like muscle car.
mostly depends on where microphones are placed when sampling the sound and then how are worked through I think fmod or similar softwares. my knowledge as I was a Assetto Corsa modder

F40: NFS wins by a looooong shot. It sounds so accurate.
918: Surprisingly, Forza takes it. Forza sounds a lot like the real thing in this case
Civic: Again, NFS sounds sooo dang good. Such a relief from the farty fart noise in Forza
Murcielago: Honestly, I prefer Forza. This is because Forza's sounds very accurate and gets realistically louder as the revs go up. In NFS the sounds are Uber quiet than booom in your face at the limiter.
BMW M5: I honestly think it's a tie. I kinda want to give it to Forza because they didn't make your ears bleed at high revs like they did with the e92 bimmer, but NFS's startup was orgasmic.
Range Rover:again, NFS wins by a long shot. Those pops are to die for.
I like Forza so I might be biased, but I really think other cars not mentioned here sound so dang accurate it NFS (and maybe a couple in Forza)
is there an option to remove/quit/get rid/fuck off/ throw up/puke the flames coming out of the exhausts of the cars?, they should definitely bring an update in which you can actually do this, tbh

@@Rafale01 The most recent racing games that are aimed for kids is Forza Horizon 3 with Hot Wheels and Lego from Forza Horizon 4. NFS Heat is 16+ rating game with heavily involved cops, lots of aggressive words, and one of the characters in game is presumably dead in the game.

SlashRacer no problem! Just a thing, some cars will actually make a pop or two even with zero overrun from time to time, but it’s normal

But it can try to imitate it. But the hardware limitations of today's GPUs, leaves the dev with no choice but to compromise with a few graphical fidelity and downgrade it so that the players can play it in a consistent fps with a good looking enough graphics. And your answer to my question is a bit silly since we all live in real life and also see cars on the road as well as garage. The game's good looking enough.
