Thank you for making life REAL. You don't make it ugly, you just show reality. Sometimes, reality is beautiful, assuming we choose to make it beautiful. Sometimes we just don't have the energy to make things "lovely"... 😅 I'm 58, I've been where you are now. I know its really hard to put on a "face" every day. My daughter is now pregnant with #2 and it makes me relieved to know that she has strong, beautiful, women like you to show the way... ❤

It is always so good to make something nutritious for your family and the smile on their faces when they eat it. It is such a good moment as a mom and wife! That was sweet of your husband! Post partum brain fog is real! I remember with all my children having it. The struggle is real. You work so hard, I hope you are getting good rest periods. Mamas with babies just need to be slower and do what you can, when you can. Mamas need to remember there is a little human that is more important than a showroom home. I know so many woman that had the guilt because they couldn't get everything done they used to. I am sending hugs to all the mamas out there. You are doing a great job!

I am white and my mom always said to wash the chicken. Maybe to get the taste of the packaging gone. Just did it, figuring she knew what to do. I am now 74 years old. I was a homemaker also and had 3 kids. I breast fed the last two babies. During my era most were bottle feeding. All your food looks great. My son could only tolerate raw milk when he was weaned.

Lovely video with lovely music ! Thank you so much for sharing a part of your life !! We should all be able to care for our family without being judged, we know best !!! For us, what helps to cut expenses is to find or purchase things we need secondhand. It gives us the opportunity to find good quality items that will last long without spending a lot of money. So much good stuff are unused and going to waste. It's not always possible, but i'm always so happy when I can repurpose something useful and it's budget friendly too !

not a parent, but my partner is disabled so I'm in the position of homemaker and caregiver. I found you while looking for tips to stretch my energy and our budget, I've started towards making a lot of food at home not only to save money but because we both have unusual allergies and dietary restrictions that have made other options increasingly difficult or impossible.
saving up chicken bones and veggie scraps in the freezer for stock has been a lifesaver tbh, I love the way I can cycle between roast chicken, stock, and chicken and dumplings (or chicken noodle soup or chicken pot pie) flowing from one hearty meal to the next while saving and using every bit I can
I rinse my chicken when I remember to (probably about 70% of the time) mostly because I don't really trust big meat distributors not to cut corners, and chicken can hold some scary stuff. someday I'll find a local butcher I feel I can trust a little better

I hear you on the babies and children take lots of time! I’m super impressed by parents who put in the work and get things done outside of parenting too. In my law class, I have a few that are single parents and they do it all on their own (legal responsibility/decision making) + work extra evenings and weekends to make ends meet financially. I don’t have any children so I help a few of them out when there are exams, lectures and seminars when the class is divided into smaller groups. Nothing much but pick their children up from daycare, cook them meals, a walk for 30-40 minutes or take them to the library. They help me with taking notes if I have a bad cold and can’t make it to a lecture. Having a social context is so important. Sometimes we don’t even do anything, only confirm that we are tired from time to time. / Scandinavian

I'm a California native and haven't lived in my home state for almost 10 years. I never realized that raw milk was so hard to get in other states since I was used to simply going to any local natural grocer (and at one point in time Whole Foods) to grab raw dairy.

I just found you, and I subscribed after you said you can't always romanticize homemaking... That's all I needed to hear. I'm just a 51 year old white southern wife and homemaker and no children of my own. I feel like I'm looked at differently because I'm not a mother. I wasn't able to have them, so my husband of 30 years and I decided to be dedicated to taking the best care of each other and our nieces and nephews. Thank you for being real. I do need to also say I loved seeing you and your husband together. We are still madly in love. We are best friends and I thank God I found him when I was young.
Oh, and I am in LOVE with the quilt on your sofa I saw when you were dusting. They are one of my passions. I live on a farm in a cottage so it always makes me happy to get a chance to see beautiful quilts. Thank you for your channel. I love having something educational and wholesome to binge watch in my dow time. Blessings from North Carolina 🙏

@@noellecasey Oh, my maiden/middle name is Casey! I just noticed yours! 😇🥰😇
And thank you for saying that. I get a lot of looks when I say I was unable to have children. However, I know I much prefer knowing that the Lord had another plan for me, to minister to my husband and family. I accepted His will and I enjoy the time I get to be a homemaker, a wife, a Daughter of the Most High, a daughter, sister, and aunt. And I really love meeting like minded women who place focus on God, their spouse and family and love learning how other women do things. I'm learning to bake and make from scratch food right now. I for sure need to make the browned butter cookies, YUM!!! Oh, and it's extremely hard to get raw milk here because of regulations. I do have access to goats milk for soap and cheese. But, cows milk is only on occasion. 🙁

Love your video ❤ you do a great job at being a mama...but me as a servant of Christ will tell everyone there is no such thing as "to eat your zone" on judgement day. People will face Christ on that day, and it doesn't matter if you see differently with Him or you felt like you had a different faith, or a religion. Christ will tell you depart from Him I never knew you because you didn't serve Him right. Righteous judgement is a must, telling people their wrongs is a must so they can get right with God before its to late. Before anyone say who are you to judge someone's life, once you get right with Christ you are to warn people and make righteous judgement. Heaven and Hell is real and many people are about to have eternal life or death . Severing God the right way is very very important because your life depends on its. God bless may this message go far.

Love your comment but I can’t force religion on people that’s their own choice they have to make. I can only say what I believe. God created the World in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Jesus is our Sabbath rest. I would encourage you that whatever season that you are in, to continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When you grow weary, He will strengthen you. Postpartum brain? Let His Word renew your mind. Feeling irritable? Pray through the fruit of the spirit. Set your mind on Him.
This job has been given to me to do. Therefore, it is a gift. Therefore, it is a privilege. Therefore, it is an offering I may make to God. Therefore, it is to be done gladly, if it is done for Him. Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God’s way. In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness. -Elisabeth Elliot

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
And a quote by CK Chesterton on Motherhood.
How can it be a large career to tell other people's children about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one's own children about the universe?
How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone, and narrow to be everything to someone? No. A woman's function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute. I will pity Mrs. Jones for the hugeness of her task; I will never pity her for its smallness.
