I have a 91 RXL 650 that I bought new and still have it .I buy a new sled every 2 years ,but I kept the RXL. I think it is the most beautiful sled made.I love all the little things like the red mesh in the grills.

Outstanding job. I had a 77 Electra 440 that's when Polaris was building some amazing sleds for the time period. Nothing could touch the engines and some of the best brake systems inn the world. Thanks for the flashback

@@toddclyne3493 I have an 89 Indy 650, and it's a pretty sick sled itself. I have had it doing 100 mph in a long farm field before. That headlight on yours looks pretty dull. You can get a sealed beam convertion kit for those, so it will take an H4 light bulb. I have an HID blue ion bulb in my 650, and I can see very well with that.
awesome build man , looks sweet , sounds great ..crazy how technology changes.. a '91 650 triple had 108 HP.. my '02 polaris edge X 700 twin is 135 hp .. was a doo guy all my life till my polaris i bought at the end of the season last yr .. sled i rode before it was a collectors holy grail "1993" ski-doo mach Z... it was modded , almost 200hp and my new to me 700 twin seems almost as fast as that 779 triple was .. really rips! .. would be cool to take one of these older sleds and drop in a VES 700-800 twin .. would be insane

Very cool. My first sled was a '79 TX. Sold it in '93 shortly before moving 30 miles away. About 8 years later I'm looking out my front window and the guy across the street is riding around the yard with a friend. I told the wife, "that looks like my old TX". then I saw the numbers painted on the hood and said, "that IS my old TX". Went over and tried to buy it back but he wasn't selling.

Me and a friend built a Merc trail twister. We took out the 440 and put in a twin pipe ski-doo 5500 motor. The skis wouldn’t touch till you let off. It was a blast.
Nothing like the sound of a piston port engine! I had a 650 RXL engine done by SLP taken out to 693 cc make roughly 160 hp and had a sound of it's own.
You ever notice if you have a studded track in the Spring time wherever you road? The grass is greener because It actually Does something like Air rating
Now this is a real sled. Not some transformery looking over assisted and complicated modern piece of $h!t. You have another sub! I wanna get a sled (a triple would be sick) once I have the finances. Thanks ride safe brother!

Need some space to let that bad boy stretch it's legs! There is no sound like the Polaris triples, that is one sweet sled. Great job! I had a '91 RXL w/ Aaen pipes and minor clutch tuning and it ripped. My wife goes into demon mode over winter mowing, so watching the lawn work was a treat. Enjoy and pin it!!

My first sled was a 74 Moto Ski 440. It absolutely ripped for its age. There was basically 2" of suspension, but we rode em hard anyway, right?? I love what you have done with your sled. You mentioned how they pulled over for you on the nostalgia ride. I guarantee you it was out of respect. That, and to watch those beauties go by....
PA28140 I grew up on a 72 skidoo elan. My brother and I probably did 5000 miles in the yard around the house. Couldn't kill it!. I have one moto ski in my fleet. It's a 71 mini snow that all my kids have learned on. I'll never get rid of it! Thanks again
My 79 440 would pull the skis easy also. Nothing would keep up with it to 50mph back in the day. Buddies had 440 john deeres , artic cats, ski doos etc. Beat them all. Few el tigres and blizzards would get me at top speed runs.

Your welcome. I am an Arctic Cat "sled" guy but a Polaris ATV wheeler guy :-) (4) sportsmans!! Really I like anything that is fast and cool, brands don't matter to me as long as the styling is there! This sled of yours just has a very clean and cool "rest-mod" theme to it :-)
My stock 500 would have given you a haircut I think. (your clutching seems to be pulling the revs down too quickly) I looks great. Helmets are cool too.
Check out some of the recent videos of this sled racing a bunch of sleds on a lake. I dont think youll be singing the same tune. Wasent a safety training video.
To bad polaris has just been successfully sued by Ski-doo for stealing their ride forward design. Not as junky as artic cat but still behind the pack of Ski-doo ingenuity and success. What are the stats, 3/5 sleds on trails are skidoo? Polaris should stick to the mountain where they have a temporary advantage

The twins have some great power but you just can't beat the sound of a triple

Love the centurion..I had a 1980 500 with some work and yes the skis were in the air all the time it did 103 mph in a 1000 back in the early 90s
