    Best mod ever made for Dark Souls- picked it up yesterday- already have over 5 hours. Love it! I really missed dark souls after palying Elden Ring for the past 2 years- refreshing to come back to this!

    I'm using a broadsword and don't seem to be getting super armour after deflect am I not doing it fast enough?

      Are you doing the guard counter? It could be possible ur not doing it fast enough. The current patch we put out made the timing tighter but made perfect blocking reduce more chip and give more stability

      Just a suggestion and idk if it's a good or bad idea but maybe you could make it so that doing a perfect deflect gives you some stamina

    wow I wasn't expecting this kind of detail in a mod, I have a lot more respect for this project.
    I'm curious on the reasoning behind heavy load losing the back step guard cancel. I like the idea of getting some s but that lag afterwards looks like nothing can be taken advantage of trying to space properly with it. I understand the idea is that backstep only gameplay utilizing PB is possible so there needs some set back for heavies, is it just for backstab fishing?
    also i hope ash of wars being better won't mean one mistake is most of your health like in eldenring. i always felt like they should cost way more fp than they do or have their own bar so they can't be abused so much and baiting them out actually punishes them for being trigger happy.
    seeing more weapons get combos from manual attack aiming is really nice to hear. will there be an easier way to see what moves are able to combo in general? people waiting to get access to using an animation data tool to see what might combo on a mod seems a bit much, yea trial and error is a thing but seeing as you guys are actually tweaking animations for balance and not being quiet like From is on intent I would assume it wasn't going to be the wild west on what could combo in this mod.
    and since powerstancing lights cant combo into themselves, does that mean their MV's arent going to be lowered? im not sure which system is being used but id hope there isnt a 90 mv on power stance if most weapons can just hit twice in a row with +100 mv. just curious is all.

    One question. Where did you found helmet at 1:35 and Guts sword at this mod?

      Don't know about greatsword, but helmet can be acquired from the dude who sits near Golem's arena in the War-torn Village. He gives you a special item which you need to offer to the idol near the first bonfire. It will trigger an invasion in your world.
      Once you deal with this, return to the dude and get the set.

    the mod is amazing struggler. i have one request, would it be possible to use the ds2 2hand position for stuff like straight swords and katanas, the "little league benchwarmer" style of just holding it 40 degrees upward will always just look absolutely silly to me, and makes me never want to 2hand most light weapons. idk if its possible, but if it is, id love it. maybe even just change the way you hold them to be like great weapons, for example, straight swords are over the shoulder like greatswords or something like that

    Is there a seamless coop integrated ? You are not going to leave the vanilla coop system with summon sign right ? That will obviously not work in any new area

    Really cool mod. They need to tweak a lot of things, like some enemies and bosses, give more souls to the player and that kind of stuff. But, even with all the problems the mod has right now, I had a lot of fun playing Archthrones and I hope it becomes one of the best mods ever. The potential here ia big.

    This looks… really good. That said, I’m not sure if I like the animation cancel jank of the new backsteps. And I hoped that if you were to bring in powerstance, you’d scrap some of the honestly bad looking/feeling movesets of ER and just use the smoother movesets of DS3. In particular the dual hammer, axe, spear, straightsword, and curved sword movesets of ER feel like a pale imitation of the weighty, intentional, and more refined look of the DS3 twin weapon movesets. Maybe that’s just me though.
    Aside from that, I really enjoy the scope of this mod. Hope you and the team are able to continue refining it while retaining the identity of the core game. Great work.

      Nah elden rings looks feels better especially the straight swords and curved swords.
      but those ds3 duel weapons are still there and true combo unlike the elden ring ones, it's better this way since the duel weapons in ds3 are unique and will still feel unique even in the mod unlike elden ring duel weild weapons

      @@xsubzerox3412 I appreciate the true combo nuance but that’s not really relevant for PvE, it’s almost entirely a PvP mechanic. Also whether or not you like ER powerstance, it does looks and feel different from DS3.
      We can’t say anything about the PvP implications yet because it hasn’t been developed yet. But it seems there’s no PvE balance in the choice to add PSSS to the same game where the only dual SS was Gotthards. PSSS swings twice as fast on the L1s and has very little commitment or recovery compared to Gotthards. I was hoping that they could bring it more in line with the design philosophy of DS3, otherwise it feels more like playing an ER mod (from a game mechanic perspective)

    I do miss regular ds1 poise in spots. I started a ds3 run with a poise mod about a month ago and it really changed alot about how i play ds3. Being able to do more before staggering matters alot for me.
