Darjeeling is known as the queen of hills. It's in West Bengal state of India. And the toy train is declared a world Heritage site

That is Kanchanjanga the third highest mountain in planet 8598 meters. Only 250 meter less than Mount Everest.

Living in kolkata, capital of West Bengal, but now I want to settle in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, bored of plains, mutiplexes,malls etc etc..India has a lot of choices for its people to live.Mountains, plateaus, plains,beches, seas everything.

Nice joke. Everyone here in Darjeeling knows Hindi perfectly. And bdw Darjeeling was part of Sikkimese Namgyal Kingdom before it was occupied by Gorkha Kingdom and Gorkha people colonized it. Even during British rule Darjeeling was ruled by Bhutia Namgyal Kings. So get some fact correctly first.

Hi guys, l I live in the state of West Bengal, and Darjeeling is a hill station located towards the northern edge of the state in the foothills of the Himalayas. It was the summer capital/ retreat of the Brits when Calcutta was erstwhile the capital of the British Raj in India. Although I haven't visited it yet but would love to!
India is the world largest producer of tea and is only place famous for it's tea gardens called darjeeling tea of it's unique Fragrance. Situated in North eastern area nearer to China border (Himalayan region)

I'm with Troy! Give me the mountains and hills with greenery and cool, rainy weather and I'm happy. My first several years were spent in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains, in a different state from Darjeeling.
I learned to pronounce Darjeeling differently from the way you said it. The way you said it tends to be the way most westerners pronounce it, "Dar/JEE/ling". Which makes sense the way it is written.
I think the spelling comes from some British guy mispronouncing the name and then phonetically spelling out his mispronunciation and spreading it around to his British soldiers and officer friends and neighbors back in the early 1800s and it stuck. Who knows.
I learned to leave out the two Es (ee) in the middle when pronouncing Darjeeling, so instead "Darj/ling". Darj sounds like the word thar from "Thar she blows" with a j at the end. (not the "th" sound in think or thick, but the "th" sound in this and that) Thar+j. Tharj/ling.

if you want to see beaches with crystal clear water then checkout LAKSHADWEEP ISLANDS. India has atleast 50 more hill stations like that one and each had its own beauty. India is incredible.

Darjeeling is in west bengal India.
Im a local lad and Darjeeling is one of the most visited tourist hub in India,for the fact it is also the first city to have received the first electricity facilitiy in all over india,the place is widely covered with widely covered pine trees and forests which includes wildlife sanctuaries.Other than that Darjeeling was once Britisher’s favourite escape especially due to the cooler weather during colonial days and thus you will find aslo the British architectures and heritage churches too.Two things that marks Darjeeling on the world map is the tea it produces one of the worlds most expensive tea and the british world heritage the toy train (steam engine).Talking about the locals they are the most humble and friendliest people here.Big thumbs up for the video 👏🏼🙏🏼

I think I may have said in an earlier video, but India is so much more beautiful than what we've been shown. It seems as if it was always portrayed as a 3rd world, poor country. Then we see these videos & all the stunning locations from the beauty in nature to the modern day cities!

Hey Darjeeling is In West Bengsl 617km from kolkata the biggest CITY OF eastern India...the Whole Darjeeling City economy except tea depends on Domestic tourist From Kolkata atleast 14 million out of 25 are tourist from kolkata specially the BENGALIS trying to beat the summer heat..as Darjeeling is 7100 feet high it cool through out year...Fun Fact there is no Winter in South India except fr a few hillstation eg Ooty..Reason this hillstation develpd by then British Rulers becz they were very adamant with their weather So Hillstation/city used to become FEDERAL & Regional Summer Captials like Darjeeling For Bengal Ooty for Madras(southind) and Shimla for India as a whole.
Darjeeling was the 1st town in India to get electricity .That bridge is Coronation bridge , that mountain is 3rd highest peak in the world , those cattle are on sandakphu trek highest point in the state of West bengal , that river is teesta river , Sunrise was from tiger hill view point and tiger hill was once India's highest golf course in India , that Train Was Toy Train recognized by UNESCO, IN FACT DARJEELING WAS THE SUMMER CAPITAL OF BRITISH IN INDIA DURING BRITISH ERA
