"Such an emotional mess"? I think not. That man is a precious blend of empathy and compassion. He epitomises a man of immense strength, as it takes extraordinary courage to allow oneself to be vulnerable in the presence of others. A sterling example of exemplary character.

These people have completely turned this young man’s life around. Look how they’ve made his bedroom his own & incorporated his interests. Lovely couple ❤

Joe is such a softie, bless him. The child is so brave and strong and I hope all his wishes come true ❤. Well done to the dads who took him in 👏

I grew up in the care system for 19 years. Had 16 placements (in 19 years), shortest placement was about 2 months (after I got kicked out) and longest placement was 9 years and 6 months. I had 15 placements in the first 2 years of me growing up in care. My last placement was 9 years and 6 months and even tho I moved out when I was 19 I am so lucky to still see them on a regular basis. So I know first hand what it can be like, not knowing where and if you belong anywhere, not knowing how long you are going to be staying in one place. The feeling of knowing you could be gone and moved, not really feeling comfortable because of those feelings. Trying not to get too attached incase you had to leave.

@@rosaondarra-barron8835 I think life experiences can teach us a lot. I think also how we react to those experiences is very interesting. It can take a long time to realise why we react/act the way we do. I'm in my 60s and it took me ages to gain self-knowledge

Sadly over-looking the threat of the elephant in the room. The deeper motive of this story.

Elephant in the room? Are you referring to the couple who adopted him because they are gay? 😒 if that's what you are referring to then I think that you should delete your comment and move on before I report you

Do you think straight men that adopt daughters should have the same criticism?
