I still remember that tragedy. I've always remembered their names. I remember Virgil Grissom from the Gemini program.
It was still trial and error in those days.......really, pumping in pure oxygen?
A horrible and tragic error.

The same thing happened to the Soviets a couple years prior but Soviets kept it a secret to even their own people. If it were made public, this wouldn't have happened.
