Would love to learn more in this business
Farberware is known for its cookware
I love that you and your Mom are doing this together! I lost my Mom several years ago, and I miss being able to do things like this with her. God Bless you both. 💜🙏💜
As many glass products that she opens, an occasional breakage is amazing! SMILE Grandma Venture..you are amazing!!
The long leather thing is a straight edge razor sharpener and the long knives with pointy ends are bone marrow knives, wire basket is for eggs, magic cleaner is for crumbs on a table cloth, my fav was the farm plates
That color looks amazing on grandma ventures!!
The small curved knives are grapefruit knives. You cut the grapefruit in half, then insert the knife into it and carve around the edge.
17:31 what you called long skinny knives are fondue forks and the different color dots help you keep track of who's fork it is when doing communal fondue.
Hello from the Netherlands. Ik enyoi your site. Looks like christmas
The leather razor strop is for sharpening straight razors I believe....Sweeney Todd style
thanks for the videos guys, love them...praying for Zorro!
Dude, you almost took out Grandma V with those knives ! 😃 You'd have a revolt, she is a national treasure. I'm her age , let her know I really liked her outfit today. Us grandmas can rock it still. 💗
Peach top is a great color for Grandma Ventures.
Grandma Ventures how nice you looked showing up to work today . Definitely a great color on you .
Another great video!!
I love tuning in to your channel.
The rounded blade is an ulu Alaskans use the for cutting and cleaning skins. Those look really old. They are great for prep work in the kitchen
I love the view out the windows that Grandma Ventures sits in front of each time.
The flat based decanter is a Ship's Decanter, sometimes called a Captain's Decanter. The wide flat bottom ensured that it was stable on board ships and not a drop would be spilled in choppy seas.
Yes, and it was used for Port, not wine.
Hi just started watching you guys i have never laughed so much i am working my way though you past programs, i love your channel, i love watching you opening up each box not knowing what in them, thats the fun, you keep doing what you are doing it’s fantastic, you guys have made me laugh so much, your mum so someone who very special i love her comments you guys are the best
My grandad had a leather strop for sharpening his shaving razor (and to swat unruly kids across the rump when naughty) I am 81 and still remember
❤❤❤❤❤Thank you for sharing your video with us and have a great evening!
Vintage, new men's briefs sell for good money on ebay. Not to pick up meat, your mom was correct, it's to hold a roast or turkey while you carve it. It is used vertically. The leather razor strop (not strip) is for sharpening knives and/or razors. The "skinny knives" are actually fondue forks. You stab your meat and put it into the fondue pot. The different colors are so each person knows which one is theirs. I believe the small, curved knives are grapefruit knives. Woven wheat is supposed to bring good fortune to the home. Croft & Barrow is from Kohl's, not Target. I like the shorter videos. the 50-60 min ones are too long. Interesting stuff here.
Hi from Norway. Love your show
My favourite things were the farm plates from the first container and the beautiful cased blue and yellow glass in the last. Though I loved the blue mens jumper for tall men, Terry would like that one as he's tall (I'm short lol). All those kitchen items in the one box and so.e of those were very sharp. The carving forks are very handy, I have one myself that I won as a last prize in a raffle about 40 years ago and it was old then. I love these videos that you do at home, the aren't as rushed as when you are in a storage unit. I never saw Zoro, how is he please? Nearly time for my first lot of meds, I have 4 lots at night so cheerio and good luck with packing and putting items on Poshmark God bless you all love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK
Eye. Still. Do. 🐯
The curved saw tooth knived from Japan are for sectioning grapefruit. Makes sections easy to get out of peel.
@4:36 my sister had those dishes for years. They were wedding registry items. She lives in Sherwood, OR.
I’m so happy I get to watch this evening! Hello 👋
Haven't seen a new video in 5 days miss seeing you guys
I was looking for the Christmas Eve. You have either a banquet silver set up or from hotel room service, restaurants, and banquets .
Hi another great video. I hope zorro doing good x
The skinny knives are skewers often used for fondue.
The colored dots are so each diner has their own color to identify which fork is theirs in the fondue pot!
That glass with CV on the side.....when you flipped it over, it said on the bottom, "Courvoisier".
Interested in the silver tray decanter. Its a captain glass as it is shaped like that to keep it from sliding off the table when the boat encountered waves.
Nice finds!
That waitress apron would be good to put your money 💰 in when you do a yard sale flea market etc
Magnetic cleaner is a lint brush. Rub it on clothing caused static cling and pulls off the lint and hair. They work pretty good
Good morning from Australia, hope zorro is doing ok
Love you’re show
lol... all that brick a brack I would put in a pile and sell them that way.. wow there sure is a lot of those LOL!! That red thing at 25:46 opens up and flips around to a cloth piece, it is used to remove lint from your clothes... My Dad had one of those when I was a little girl... Great video as per usual!!
Your haircut looks great on you Denise ❤
The blue square plates are lovely
Yes I do n so does my hubby. The blue thing is a scarf with a pocket
I wanted to see what they thought the Corningware handle is. Older square Corningware dishes with the tab handles on two sides have a bump on the bottom of the handles. They made a stainless steel and black plastic handle that fit onto the dishes. The end of the handle turned 90 degrees then after putting it on the dish, turning the end of the handle back clamped it firmly in place. The handle could be used to take the dishes out of ovens or use a shallow one like a skillet. Two handles could be used on big ones to make carrying heavy things easier. Sometime recently Corningware removed the bumps so the handle cannot clamp onto the newer dishes.
The first 3 plates are beautiful. But my favorite are the barn stoneware.
The razor strop is to keep your straight razor sharp before using. Similar to those longer ones used by old time barbers. Yes, the razor can be sharpened by dragging it backward on the leather.
Had one of those computers. Also had a lot of accessories and game cartridges.
Me too. It was the first home computer I had.
Hi from new Zealand . Love you two, you make me laugh
Love it just like your doing
leather sided thing w/ box is a stepping tool used by barbers to keep straight razors sharp.
Wade, mama Ventures did not beat you enough as a child lol. She has the most patients with all these wrappings
The chef's knife from 1973 that was engraved was probably from someone in chef's school or a proffessional chef or cook that brought her/ his own knife to work, and didn't want it stolen or mistaken for regular work place equipment.
Long spoons are for milkshakes or root beer floats. Used them all the time as a kid.
Skinny knives are fondue forks colored dot so everyone can keep their own fork seperate ..everyone has their own colored fork to dip stuff into fondue.. square thing in box is to strop (sharpen) knives on
I'm so,so sorry for Zorro I know what you all going thru hope by the Grace of God they can make him better maybe he has a chance GOD BLESS you all.
They said they won’t operate on him it’s too far however I’m getting second opinions tomorrow. :(
The razor strip in actually a razor "strap". My dad had one to sharpen his straight razor for shaving. He also used it for spankings. Ouch!!!!!
the barn plates are from the 90s I bought some new during that time
It's a sTRaight razor strop, used to sharpen the straight razors. My dAD HAD ONE THAT HAD 4 LEATHER STRAPS, EACH ONE SEEMED TO BE FOR A SPECIFIC PART OF SHARPENING.
I think the knives with the cream handles are great they stay sharp and are good for buttering bread. I was in a an antique shop yesterday, they were going for £8 each. I nearly bought them! They are made of bone. The long narrow “knives” are skewers for kebabs. The long handled fork is for reaching pickles eggs from jars and other pickles.
Hey guys I am so sorry fir the loss of your parrot. I hope everything goes well for you and your family.😥😥😥
This thumbnail cracked me up, Ashley is such a good sport!
Love the Blue Syracuse China!!!
I still use hankies. I always have two or three clean hankies in my purse.
The item in the box is a strop. Used to hone a single blade, fold out razor.
the wheat in the Macy's box is a wheat weaving. Old handcraft. They are put above doors for luck and given as presents to newly weds.
My brother still uses handkerchiefs. He's an attorney and wears alot of suits.
9:04 Arizona flag, 17:22 fondue forks, nutmeg grater
The curved knives with blades on both sides are grapefruit knives. The long and skinny knives with forks on the end and colored dots on them were for doing fondue.
The pointy knives may be a part of a fondue set.
Shirley Guenther I was thinking the same on the long pointed knives were actually fondue forks with colorrd dots so everyone can chose their own color to use.
That is a leather strop used for sharpening strait edge razors for shaving.
I am interested in the mother of pearl cake knife and matching piece to it. Please let me know if you’re going to list it or if I can just buy it direct
Love your mom,you say grandma but I guess that's how you refer to her to your boys. If she's your grandmother she looks great to be a great grandmother and
Love her personality. ❤
Skinny knives with colored dots are for fondue pots.
TEPCO dishes are ceramic, dense and glossy; the types of dishes you might find at a diner. From 1930 to 1968, TEPCO -- the Technical Porcelain and Chinaware Company -- made dishes like these out of their factory in El Cerrito, north of Berkeley. And though they look pretty ordinary, TEPCO dishes are actually really meaningful to a small band of collectors all over California.
Hello Dear Ventures! A strop is what barbers used to sharpen their strait razor.
maybe try a knife and sharpener together and if you fine matching handles add the large fork.
I hope Zorro is okay. I prayed for him. We just had our two kittens spayed today. They will feel much better tomorrow, I am sure. They are still kind of woozy. We missed them today. They are So sweet.
The handkerchief with the star on it is the Arizona state flag!
One of those bandanas would make a nice neck tie for Zorro
Love the videos, but wish you would number them or the series ones together. Hate it when I can't find continuity. Thanks for the fun. Would do this if I wasn't disabled.
I Googled Anne Ormsby surviving stress. Lots of stuff. Very interesting. Giant martini glass, cutting boards, beach towels and more.
Love ya
You all should not worry about repeating the same words. All you need to do is be yourself. You don’t need new words to use. Everybody has their own words they use and if they were doing a video they would be repeating their words also. Love you guys and your videos, so glad you are back on so frequently!
Was that a sharing strap for strait razor?
My dad who just turned 88 uses handkerchiefs. I might be interested in them.
The curved bladed knives are for cutting the segments from your morning grapefruit halves.
My Dad also used handkerchiefs too. Love you guys! I always want to help if I know something that you don't. I hope you don't mind. I always want to know the correct way.
The flag hanky is the great state of Arizona. Hi from Buckeye Arizona. The fastest growing city in the country
The thing in the box was a straight razor strop. A strop is usually just a long belt looking thing to sharpen straight razors
They sell antlers as dog chews over here (UK) Only thing that doesn't instantly get demolished by my two Staffies. Expensive but worth it.
farberware is cookware like pots . pans utensils. other cookware things like toasters and blenders
Those arm choppers are sweet and a rare find. Don’t auction it off eBay it and wait for top price . Can’t get land if stuff keeps being given away .
Nutmeg grater. another good video.
The "knife sharpeners " are actually called steels unless they are made of stone ( you showed one with a red handle), then they are called a sharpening stone.
Handkerchiefs--Yes!
Could those small knives with the different colored dots on the handles be fondu knives?
Wish I owned stock in renalds wrap when they where packing up stock prices would have gone up
Those little thin knives are actually fondue fork knives. For self service of fondue. They have a little fork on the end for picking up what you want to dip. Those curved knives are melon cutters. slice along the rhine.
Hi! We use Those curve knives for grapefruit
Some people put those miniature beer wine exacts our glasses on the Christmas tree are on the mantle
I absolutely love the beach ⛱ glass
Hey wade did you sell Sony DVD players yet ?
