Prof Dr Javed Iqbal is a surgeon with special interest in laparoscopic and cancer surgery. His professional qualifications are FCPS, FRCS, FACS, FICLS, MCPS-HPE.
He is one of the pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in the region. He has trained more than 50 surgeons formally as their supervisor and thousands more who have worked with him in various capacities during his four decades long professional journey. He is an official mentor of Royal College of Glasgow and International Course Director of American College of Surgeons for Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He is a well known medical educationist and has been a part of College of Physicians and Surgeons, University of Health Sciences and Nishter Medical University as faculty of medical education.He is on the reviewers penal of various index medical journals. He has more than twenty five research publications on his credit along with a book on surgery entitled "The Operative Surgery"He is a published poet, shot story writer, critic and broadcaster. His current areas of effort are teaching and training of soft skill at various national and international fora. He is very active on social media and his team runs a very well subscribed youtube channel covering versatile topics& interests. He is regularly being invited on national & international TV shows for his intellectual contribution. He is an influential speaker. Thank you for explaining the art of communication in such a unique way. Everytime I hear your advice, I walk away with practical tips to self-assess and improve. The tips in this video are so important that I believe that if people were to self-assess based on these tips, we would be more positive as a society. As opposed to delivering our message, we should focus on listening to others, and that too in a way that shows sincere interest to the speaker. Active silence mode instead of thinking of how to counter the speaker while they are speaking is key. A learning mindset is also key. This advice shows the capacity of human beings and what it means to be Ashraful-Makhlooqat. As always, I've benefited from your advice brother and no age is too old to hear, share and act upon a good piece of advice so thank you for sharing. Jazakallahu khair

1. Good communication is not conveying the other person but understanding the other’s point of view / thoughts.
2. Listening is the prime tool of the communication. One should listen attentive by keeping quite and being thoughtful at the same time with the flow of the conversation.
3. Good communicators are not the ones who initiate the conversation but are the once who end the conversation
4. Logo ke ravay’e do kisam ke hote hai, 1. Earning ravayya and 2. Learning ravayya
5. One should not be Argumentative, judgmental. Must likely that you will win the situation by being Argumentative & judgmental, but you will lose the relationship, or he will take negative vibe from you.
6. The preferred arrange of sitting while having conversation is not to face each other, should prefer the other person should be on your right or left side.
7. Should have eye contact with prompts (hmmm, ok, acha, umm’hmuu etc)
8. You should paraphrase his sentences. Ex: acha to usne apko 3 baje bulaane ke bajaye 5 baje bulaya.
9. The good communication will always end with result or with a feeling “saying we had a great time”
10. Successful communication is not making other party agree on you 100%, if you able to move him 5% or 10%, that is also a good progress.

سر آپ کی ہر بات بہت کمال ہوتی ہے۔
کمیونیکیشن کے لیے بہت زیادہ الفاظ کی ضرورت نہیں پڑتی خوب صورت بناوٹی جملوں کی بھی کوئی ضرورت نہیں پڑتی۔ میرا 18 ماہ کا بیٹا ہے اسے صرف دس بارہ لفظ آتے ہیں اور وہ بھی ٹھیک تلفظ میں نہیں ہیں لیکن مجال ہے کبھی ایسا ہوا ہو کہ میں اس کی کوئی بات سمجھ نہ سکا ہوں، صبح سے شام تک وہ اپنے انہی دس بارہ لفظوں سے ہم۔گھر والوں سے اپنی ہر بات کر لیتا ہے جو چیز چاہیے توتلا بولتا ہے لیکن ہمیں سمجھ آ جاتی ہے۔ اسکی وجہ صرف یہی ہے کہ ہم اس کی بات دلچسپی سے اور شوق سے سنتے ہیں اس لیے فورا سمجھ جاتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح اگر ہم لوگوں کی باتوں کو دلچسپی اور لگن سے سنیں تو لازمی ہم ہر بات سمجھ اور سمجھا سکتے ہیں۔
